Bad news....I just got word from our CS team that there are in fact some bags being made WITHOUT the key leash right now. I had no idea. The way I understand it is that Small and Medium SF Made Bags are being made with a new organizational pocket that does not have the key leash anymore and the new front pocket that DOES have the key leash isn't available for Small and Mediums yet (but will be soon...).

So, you have a couple options. You can contact customerservice@timbuk2.com and they can send you the key leash or you can take your bag back to the store and they can help you with a return.

What kinda bag is it? The Classic Cargo Totes don't have a key strap. Our newer Messengers come with the key strap in the small front zipper pocket, and the older ones come with the key strap in the organizational zipper pocket, though my guess is that's where your search began...

Last weekend I purchased a new bag at your store in Hayes Valley (I have a bag that I adore, but I needed a size upgrade). When I went to put away my keys in my new bag, I found out that my key strap was missing! My favorite feature of the bag is the key strap, and I am heart broken to not have it. Is there any way that I can get a key strap to sew in myself?

I have looked extensively for the strap, and since I have another bag, I know where it is supposed to be located and it is definitely not hiding, but completely non-exsistant.

Unfortunately- nope. If your husband commutes RAIN or shine the ballistic nylon or cordura options are your best bet AND come in large AND xlarge.
You'll find both of these fabrics in the bag builder.
