Sure I understand dropping stuff in the trash. Low tec solutions are great if they work!
however, what I really want to do is be able to delete stuff in my textstream.
I don't think this will happen though, if I simply trash the message?

I'd really like to delete a duplicate in my text stream but i don't thinkt here is a way...

i would be interested in this... though more tagging in general than location specific stuff.
eg prefixing it @a dropis in on /a/rss.xml
prefixing @b drops it on /b/rss.xml
not prefixing it puts it on /rss.xml

it makes sense really.

You are probably aware of the current problems with TMT, but your rss feed dumped a load of other peoples posts onto my blog. eg. about 25 posts from other peoples textstreams must have been on my rss, which obviously caused me problems.
As I can't afford to have rss feeds displaying data which they shouldn't I have currently disabled my blog from updating via sms .

sounds a bit like "we have both sorts of music in here - country *and* western!" ;)
Re: editing posts. it would just mean that when one of my long, texted, urls gets mashed by my blogging system, not TMT, that i can remove it permanently, or change it.
just noticed autolinking URLs in HTML text stream. pretty cool. you might want to look at making sure URLs like this: (Www.thebullshead.co.uk) get picked up. though from my point of view it isn't a high priority.
One thing I will say is that I'm not afraid of pointing out if something doesn't go that well.
Oh, also hope the futuresonic thing goes well. I didn't really want to shell out the money, but good luck with all that!

this is somewhat my own fault, but still you might choose to make treasuremytext help put
I am using TMT to blog using my text stream RSS. this is brilliant. I love blogging by sms because it means i dont write 1000 word updates on my life.
However recently when i was blogging about a URL by SMS i got the url wrong. a common mistake if you aren't actually somewhere with a browser.
I then found it was rather difficult for me to update this url to the right one.
this is partly due to my naff blogging setup (it really won't let me change a post in drupal because it updates it with the RSS version every time it checks the feed)
in addition I can't remove SMS from my textstream or even, ideally edit them.
Would it be possible to implement some sort of text message management and editing on ones text stream. I appreciate it may not be high priority, but it would be useful in the long run, not just for me, but al people who really want to "unpublish" something, they accidentally posted to it.

Ah. I see. I know what you mean.
It would be cool if you could let me know when it comes off the list, though unless it happens again (and I will report it to this thread if it does) it is unlikely to be much of a problem.

I love it. and it's the generation of phones treasuremytext was originally designed for! i have a 10 message inbox!
Cool. Well let me know what the updates are.
I suppose one of the options would be to allow people to edit their saved sms's but that's a pain in the neck.
Yeah anyway, let me know when you have some updates (it's not a easily reproducable thing - I have sent looong texts before - as you can see from my textstream)

Unfortunately, I have come across another problem.
I think this is Treasuremytext and not just my phone.

I blog via treasuremytext to my drupal blog [www.tdobson.net]. (there is some drupal feed plugin which works great)

I tend to use 450 characters in my blog posts because i text in full prose and i have a lot to say. this means that my texts to treasuremytext tend to have been split up into three and then put back together again by treasuremytext.
A quick look at my latest post reveals that something seems to have gone wrong putting the text back together again. http://www.treasuremytext.com/SMS/tdo...
it seems that the first part got separated from the second and third parts of the sms.
sorry to disturb, but this is frustrating for anyone but particularly if the rss is powering my blog.
it would be great if you could look at this, if possible make sure it never happens, but if it is not at your end, look at what could be done in the event it does happen.

no. it was just *me* setting things up wrong withdrupal or something. I've forgotten exactly what now.

I'm not toally sure I see the point in the private feeds at all but in general i think the more feeds the better!

isn't terribly descriptive for me.
of course aesthetics are the last thing but a nice symlinking rule or what ever it actually is so http://www.treasuremytext.com/SMS/tdo... was my rss would be neat.

anyway. i look forward to hearing about this fix. or more accuratly, look forward to everything just working and me not having to worry.

a bug perhaps?
