A comment on the question "When does it update for the first time?" in twitterfeed:
So it's been almost 24 hours and the story never went out. As you can see from the feed item, it was posted yesterday and nothing... Twitterfeed says the feed was last checked on the 19th. Isn't there a way for us to force Twitterfeed to check now? Or even force it to recheck during the scheduled cycle? If it's set to update every 30 mins then why hasn't it checked for a new story for the last week and a half? – Tech Snaps, on October 29, 2009 15:23

we switched back to twitterfeed today and unpaused one of our feeds. so far it's been about four hours and no tweet has come out yet. It is telling me that the last time it checked the feed was a week and a half ago. Doesn't this thing begin checking once you unpause? I published a story four hours ago @portofsandiego from http://feeds.feedburner.com/portsdre. Nothing yet. We're going to need to publish this by hand or else we're going to completely lose the daily news cycle (again).-

post frequency: one story every 1 hour
we're willing to pay for one story every 15-30 mins if possible – Tech Snaps, on October 20, 2009 21:25

We just decided to switch from Twitterfeed to Hootsuite because of their ongoing reliability issues but the thing we gave up was posting of our RSS stories to Twitter with a 30 minute window. Hootsuite only refreshes every hour. We posted an article two hours ago and (1) feed is NOT paused, (2) feed is valid because we click it and see the new story, (3) it shows to post one story every 1 hour... so it's been over two hours now and this is gut-wrenching for a news agency to wait so long press releases to post. Is there a remedy or manual push or something?
A comment on the question "3rd Twitter account in Tweetie 2 won't stick. Relaunching app "forgets" it." in atebits:
actually no this fixed it temporarily but now it makes obvious a BIGGER bug in the app. Tweetie 2 now insists on opening my app to a state from about six hours ago, on my mentions tab and no matter what account and view I exited, it relaunches in the the former state. So any view I was sitting in, any account I added from that point disappeared. The bug is still here, even after deleting the app and reinstalling it – Tech Snaps, on October 20, 2009 00:12

Tech Snaps asked a question in atebits on October 18, 2009 05:59:
3rd Twitter account in Tweetie 2 won't stick. Relaunching app "forgets" it.I just added a third Twitter account to Tweetie 2 which I'm responsible for updating. It saves account info just fine and I can post and do other functions. But when I switch to the main iPhone menu or any app and come back, the account is gone. I've restarted the iPhone, tried leaving the 3rd account tweet history on the screen while quitting... nothing "remembers" the 3rd account. I've reordered the account list. Tweetie 2 just starts up back in my first account. I have to keep re-adding my other Twitter account every time i launch the app.

and today we tried to login to twitterfeed to somehow stop this flood and the site was down "We're sorry, but something went wrong.
We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly." – Tech Snaps, on October 15, 2009 16:15

Over a dozen posts from Twitterfeed went out today from really old stories... this is the third time in about a year this blitz of random old posts happened. Does anyone have a solution? I'm almost considering switching to HootSuite because of this unresolved nonsense. We even offered to pay Twitterfeed for a premium service. We're going to lose subscribers by the dozen today and our managers are breathing down our necks to explain why these headlines went out.

It's happened again!! This time it posted over a dozen OLD stories. This is getting ridiculous. What is causing this? – Tech Snaps, on October 15, 2009 16:06

Tech Snaps replied on June 30, 2009 22:15 to the question "Location Resets to Wrong City" in Twitter:
Same here. No matter what I do, no matter WHERE I tweet from, if I update my profile to whatever city I'm in, about two hours later with no interaction from me, my profile switches back to "La Presa"... is there a way to LOCK your location or at least see how a location was set (similar to how tweets have a via variable)?
