Hi Justin...
You are definitely thinking in the right direction. Our welcome center features five information kiosks accessed by a user account restricted at both the domain and local level. Basically all rights have been stripped from it (for example the restricted user account can not even right click on the desktop to bring up the mouse menu choices or delete desktop icons either).
BUT and here is the caveat...the account is also a local admin account due to one of our proprietary programs here at work (it has to be run by a local admin or it doesn't run at all). So the account has been hemmed in and restricted using Group Policy, Local Policy, Security Permissions, White Lists, etc where it really can't do much of anything but run the programs we want it to run and access only the sites we allow.
When I ran the free version of Bumptop on a test kiosk though I could still right click the mouse and access the "run window" and "explorer window" within the Bumptop 3D desktop. I could also access the "settings" option and change any of the Bumptop settings I wanted to change. I did all of these tests while using the restricted user account. So I would definitely like to prevent any right clicking while using the Bumptop desktop even by a local admin account.
These five showcase kiosks at our welcome center are placed there for people to acquire information about my workplace but they are not allowed to make any changes to the settings after I set up the systems.
If the "kiosk mode" that I suggested above was added to Bumptop then I would have an immediate use for it in our welcome center.
I believe that the Bumptop software would greatly enhance our kiosks which is currently using the standard XP desktop. It would definitely add a dramatic effect that our welcome center is currently lacking on these machines. I also think that it might spread to the other kiosks around our campus once it is showcased in our welcome center. So I really hope that a "kiosk mode" will be added to Bumptop.
Let me know if you have any more questions and thanks for the quick reply Justin.

Add a Kiosk mode to BumptopI think this would be a great product to add to our welcome center here at my work. The only problem is the option to access settings to change them through, for example, right clicking the mouse even in a locked down user account. A kiosk mode that would prevent the "current user" accounts from changing settings would allow places like where I work to effectively use the Bumptop software.
I hope that a kiosk mode will be added in the future so that Bumptop Pro will be available to license to those that have kiosks.

how do you hide the system tray icon?Is there any way to hide the system tray icon without restorting to "Hide inactive icons" in the "Taskbar" settings?
