Terence Swee replied on October 13, 2009 17:55 to the question "Cant scan pics" in muvee:
Chantal, muvee is NOT a photo scanner product, thats why its not scanning.
Unless I am not getting exactly to the exact problem that you were facing.
You should use the scanning software that came with your All In One to scan, and then use muvee to stitch them together into a photomovie. muvee will not directly scan your pictures from your AIO.

Bethany, if the final muvee plays well on your machine, then its almost certainly a problem on the FB side of things. I post video up there too and sometimes have to do it twice. Can we see your FB video? Might spot something that will help. If you are okay with that, you can friend me on FB so I can see your videos, or pls send me a link. (you can of course, un-friend me after that :-)

Stephanie, I wanted to follow up and let you know I looked at your case personally.
You sent your first support email on a Sunday (IIY-73656-516) and then within 12hrs, sent another one (HJN-75336-999), and 5hrs later, posted here at GetSatisfaction.
Our guaranteed response time is 72hours, though we often respond within 24hrs for most simple issues. Some software companies practice charging extra for after sales support; we decided against this since its a user friendly consumer product. We aim to support EVERY one of our customers personally, even years after they purchase and do not charge for it.
Although Monday and Tuesday was a public holiday here in the office, Yih Yeong responded from home on Monday, and Patrick processed your refund request on Tuesday. I personally checked in with him first thing this morning and it was already done by the time I had my morning cup of coffee. I am very sorry you did not find this level of service satisfactory. You should see the credited amount in your account soon. As for when you will actually see the amount reflected in your bank statement will depend on your bank's stated level of service response, which we have no control over. (I wouldn't count on it being within 17hours) but do let us know if you don't see it after a week.
muvee Reveal is a large step-up from muvee autoProducer6, with loads of new cutting edge technology and a lot is going on under the hood, but that also means its fussy on drivers and wardware requirements. We have hundreds of thousands of happy customers, and if you google "muvee" you will find many rave reviews globally, and even some awards given out by people smarter than us. I regret we were not able to make you a customer.
Terence Swee replied on January 27, 2009 03:21 to the problem "Worthless Software Doesn't Work!" in muvee:
Stephanie, I am the CEO-Founder of muvee.
I am sorry you had such a bad experience with our software. If you read through other submissions on this site, there are people who experienced problems, and its usually because their Open GL Drivers may not be updated. (even new machines may not always come with the latest drivers).
We are a small company that puts our heart and soul into our products, hoping that it helps you put together videos that capture the special moments in our lives. We sell online to over 168 countries, and the software is available in 13 languages and we have been doing this for over 8 years now. We count HP, Nokia, LG, Sony, Nikon and Olympus as customers and have shipped over 50M copies todate. However, we simply cannot provide phone support for cost reasons. We also cannot possibly reply to support tickets within 17hours if you send it over a weekend or a public holiday. Instead of outsourcing our customer care operations to a sweatshop like bigger companies, we prefer to do it in-house, and we also let our customer care staff take holidays to spend time with their families. Thats why we only promise a 72hour turnaround quality of service for customer support.
Your refund will be processed the first thing we get into the office.
If you need to know more about us, send me an email: terence _at_ muvee dot com.
Terence Swee replied on January 17, 2009 11:54 to the question "burning dvd" in muvee:
MaryAnn,
Thank you for reporting this problem. We would like to help.
Several questions to better understand your problem:
1) Which version of muvee are you using?
2) As we have a batch-burn feature in autoProducer 6 and muvee Reveal, you may have inadvertently burnt a previous project whilst you previewed the "current" project.
3) Assuming you burnt the right project, when you get a B&W DVD playback, did you play the DVD from your PC, or through a DVD Player to your TV set?
4) If its a DVD Player, does this happen to other DVD's? (if yes, then it might be a problem with the DVD Player or some connectors came loose.)
If the above draws a nought, then please submit a support ticket at www.muvee.com so that our staff can better track, debug and serve you.
Terence Swee replied on January 17, 2009 11:49 to the question "flip video" in muvee:
MaryAnn,
The FlipVideo uses a video format that the version of muvee product you have may not support because of licensing restrictions.
Did you get the muvee software included in your Flip camera, or is it a retail product you bought from muvee.com ?
ONLY the version of muvee that comes inside the Flip camera is customized to support the Flip video format.

Thank you SynrinxZ for trying. Our tech team is looking at this problem and will be in touch via email (thru your support ticket so that we can give you personal attention to your unique situation and specs.)
We closed the office over the holiday season to allow our hardworking staff to spend time with their families, so our responses may be slower than usual as we catch up with backlog of tickets on Monday. Please bear with us.
Terence Swee replied on January 03, 2009 04:30 to the problem "Reveal Crashing & Microsoft Runtime Error R6025 / Pure Virtual Function Call" in muvee:
Hi SrinxZ,
I am sorry to hear you are having problems with Reveal. You mentioned you "downloaded" several months ago. Did you purchase the software or are you in the free trial mode? Due to patent licensing restrictions, we are not able to support HD video formats whilst you are in the trial mode. When you do purchase, you will be guided to download a HD enabler package.
If you have purchased and still have this proble, the support request form is easily accessible from our website (Support/Reveal/contact_us).
Nevertheless, here's the full URL for your convenience: http://www.muvee.com/en/support/supp_...
Hope this helps.

Terence Swee replied on December 29, 2008 05:24 to the question "is there a muvee equivalent on the Mac?" in muvee:
There isn't a muvee equivalent on the planet, and certainly not on the Mac. But we know muvee Reveal runs great on the Mac under an XP environment. Try it and let us know!
FYI: www.shwup.com runs on the Mac within a Firefox Browser. You can also make great muvee mashups online for free on shwup. (and invite friends or post it on FB etc...)
Terence Swee asked a question in muvee on December 29, 2008 05:24:
is there a muvee equivalent on the Mac?@jangles Cute. Looks very much like Muvee Producer output. My PRSA Pepperpots 2007 music video was done in Muvee. http://is.gd/dxBM-

Terence Swee replied on December 21, 2008 09:20 to the question "In Muvee auto producer, Can I skip step #2 select style and go to 3rd step "muvee make"" in muvee:
Dulos, thank you for using muvee autoProducer5 which came with your HP computer. What you really need is a transcoder, however, you can use this stylePack available here:
http://www.muvee.com/en/stylelabs/pac...
This pack will help you stitch videos together neatly and then save it in any of the supported formats.
A comment on the question "In Muvee auto producer, Can I skip step #2 select style and go to 3rd step "muvee make"" in muvee:
MuveeUser, we are always open to feedback and criticism of our product. This forum is for our users to get pointers and give feedback about their experience with our product, or when they need some customer support.
Please respect everyone's time here in this forum and refrain from flaming our product unfairly. What you really need is a video authoring tool (to select a video file and burn a DVD). This is not what muvee was designed for. Saying muvee is overengineered when you are using it for the wrong purpose is like saying Excel is overengineered when you are trying to figure out whats 2 + 2. – Terence Swee, on December 21, 2008 09:13
Terence Swee replied on December 20, 2008 09:15 to the question "In Muvee auto producer, Can I skip step #2 select style and go to 3rd step "muvee make"" in muvee:
dulos, we designed muvee to automatically "package" a bunch of videos and photos that you throw into it. How this is "packaged" depends on what "style" you choose. Its like, will it be wrapped in a Merry Christmas paper or a Happy Birthday wrapper.
So I am curious, what do you expect muvee autoProducer to produce if say you were able to *not* select a style? Are you expecting to get the same as what you put in, albeit stitched together?
Was that what you wanted to achieve? To stitch a bunch of videos and photos together?
If thats what you wanted (to stitch), then what duration video would you expect the final video to be? What should be the duration of each photo? nd how should they be stitched together? Abruptly? or with a simple fadethrough/dissolve?
Your feedback will help us continue to evolve our product design.
