Are you using a Wordpress.com blog do you have Wordpress installed on your own host?
If the former, you can use the Wordpress short code to embed a slideshow, click on "Options" below the embed code and you will see the short code for Wordpress.com
If you are using Wordpress installed on your own host, you can either install a plugin which allows you to embed slideshows using the same short code or alternatively use the following steps as a workaround:
1. Disable the visual editor from your profile
2. Edit/create a post
3. Paste the embed code from SlideShare
4. Save/publish the post
5. Re-enable the visual editor if you need to.
Remember before editing or creating a post where you want to embed a slideshow you will have to disable the visual editor. This is because the visual editor strips out the slideshow code that you are pasting in.-

FAQ does not help. I copied exatly the same html-code to both in the same browser in the same computer at the same minute or two.
