Howdy!
I'm pleased to report that our spam filter is now completely empty and Sandy is reading and responding to incoming email lickety-split.
Again, we're sorry for the inconvenience and can't overemphasize how much we've appreciated your patience while we worked to resolve this matter.
Have a lovely and productive weekend!

Howdy again, folks!
I wanted to drop in and provide an update on this issue.
The spam queue is all but completely cleared and I see Sandy replying (albeit late) to those of your messages that had been waiting in the spam system's inbound queue and those that are arriving again after being deferred earlier due to the email overload.
To give you some idea of the immensity: we've turned away over 400,000 spurious messages per day for the past couple-three days and are finally down to only 695 in Sandy's inbound queue.
We'll be continuing to work on fine-tuning that spam barrier to make it more efficient. To some degree there's not much we can do to anticipate that level of activity; on the other, we're always doing all in our power to deal with it if and when it does happen.
I apologize for the lag and trouble that undoubtedly caused you.
I'll follow up again later this evening with another update.
In the meantime, know that we appreciate your understanding, encouraging words, and all-out helpfulness.
Rael

Howdy again!
We are indeed fighting another bout of blocking (successfully!) incoming spam which is causing some of your messages to be deferred. We're working to alleviate the weight on our spam firewall systems so that Sandy can once again read and reply to your email messages at top speed.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience and expect all to be restored to normal shortly.
I'll follow up with another update within an hour or so.

The only problem with this hack seems to be that it doesn't turn off the repeated appointment in feeds. For example, I have Sandy feed into 30 Boxes. The hack stops the repeat in Sandy, but the appointment continues to appear forever in 30 Boxes. I'd like to use Sandy as my main calendar, but this issue may make that impossible. Help! Thanks in advance.

Thanks Rael.
That's an interesting hack. It effectively sets an end date for the recurring event. I'll have to remember that.
Several other people have had the same issue and wanted to set an end date for a recurring event. The example that comes to mind is (remember class on Wednesday June 11 at 3 pm @weekly. Series ends on August 13).

Howdy Tgeekb!
While there's no way currently to specify this — and it's something we'd like to support — there is a workaround (read: hack)...
Create the reminder as you normally might; for example:
R run 5/31 @bidaily
Then visit http://iwantsandy.com/digest?date=6/1..., click the name of the reminder ("Run"), then "Edit", remove the "@bidaily" tag (just highlight it and remove it from the Tags field), and click the Save button. (Be sure you've left the "All future occurrences" radio button selected so that this affects all occurrences — or rather removes all recurrence — from that date onward.)
I know it's a hack-ish workaround and we look forward to replacing it, but it works nicely in the meantime!

Recurring event within time frame? How do you place a recurring event within a specific time frame? I tried "R Run 5/31-6/13 @bidaily" to remind myself to run every other day from 5/31 to 6/13 to train for an upcoming race but it ignored the time frame and went on indefinitely. Any ideas?
