The product dimensions etc., should be promptly displayed under each item online. The number that they provide is usually not to the actual store itself but to a main call centre where all the phone calls are directed.

IKEA usually does not hold items so if you come back 2 days later, it is more than likely that they have returned the item back to stock and all you have to do is go to customer service (as they would have kept a record of your "hold") and they will give you back the product. I have never heard of anyone saying they can't return on Saturdays so my best suggestion would be to actually go to IKEA itself instead of dealing with people at the call centre. It does take awhile to get refunded for an item that you could not take home and was not willing to pay delivery for, and decided in the end not to keep. A regular no hassle return would require the products to be actually there. Good luck with this and always remember to keep your receipt!
