OK! I chose File > Import a Playlist. I think that's why this might not be working?

I already have a library set up. Perhaps here's the rub...

I "cleaned up" all my music files (eliminated dups, deleted junk) and put them in a new, different location than my iTunes music files, hoping to start (kinda) clean, but perhaps this is something I cannot do: Start over with my music (new library), but import old playlists (existing stuff from iTunes).

I go to Tools, Add-ons, and it's there, with the "disable" and "uninstall" options available. I can go to "Options" and see a few checkboxes to choose from.

Would I then assume that it's installed? Shall I re-launch Songbird?

Hm. I just checked, and the function looks for "Playlist files." It doesn't specify exactly what kind of files (like, .xml). So, I drilled to the location (//documents and settings\[my name]\My Music\iTunes\), But no files appear in the dialog box, even though a search revealed that I do have a file in that location called:

iTunes Music Library.xml

Now what?

Thanks all. I am on Windows, so I'll look for the file now. It would be immensely helpful to have my playlists converted! Rebuilding them is a serious pain in the arse!!!

I'd love to import my itunes playlists, and I see the option to do that in the File menu, but am I supposed to know where my itunes playlist files are? Because I don't. And some rudimentary snooping in my iTunes.resources folder sure doesn't get me far.
