This idea just makes sense. Posterous does it, Tumblr, Twitpic, Ping.FM--it only makes sense and right now twitwall's lack of email is limiting me from using it more.

I was hoping for a way to embed my soup in my main site. Tumblr allows something like this to happen through JS. Also, I'm not a fan of iFrames.

I love how Drop.io works, but I'd love it better if I could take the whole thing and host it under my own domain name. I'm thinking about ditching WordPress and just use Drop.io for everything but I want to keep my domain name so my current audience can still find me.

Strange, got an email saying "jmounteer" had left a reply, but now I don't see it. Jmounteer said: "Jane,

There is an option to “send all”, it simply doesn’t work. See the following link:

http://qik.com/profile/edit_networks#..., edit account, check “send all”

Possible responses from Qik are:

a. Thank you for alerting us to this issue, we are working to resolve it...
b. We’re sorry, but we have discontinued the “send all” feature and will update our website to reflect the change. "

Sounds like this person made a good point. Can anyone report that the problem has been solved?

And now my lifestream isn't showing up at all on my WP blog. I'm self hosting and use the Profilactic WP plugin. I'm going to have to replace it with something else ASAP as my lifestream is an important part of my site. But I really like Profilactic, so if you guys could get on this, I'd appreciate it. BTW, when I logged in to see if I could get my stream to load on your site, it wouldn't and threw an error at me. I've attached a screengrab.

My lifestream hasn't updated Twitter in the last 17 hours, yet I livetwittered the entire debate. I looked around and saw that loads of people had similar problems but to me it seems like something's wrong with just my stream since it did update Pandora after the Twitter post it included.

Haha, every time I shoot something with Qik, I follow it with more footage shot in Flixwagon. FW gets videos to YT automatically every time. Not as high quality, but at least they're there automatically. I really really really wish there was a way to crosspost to WordPress or to SOMEthing that would crosspost to WP. :( It's not like WP-users are in small numbers or anything... – thepete, on August 18, 2008 01:54

Actually, you can--you click "share" underneath the video window and you'll see a number of places you can post to--one of them is Blogger. Still, an autopost seems like it would be logical. :\ I've discovered that I can shoot video on my phone, then log into Qik on my phone's browser and click that "share" link. Sadly, I don't use blogger with any kind of regularity and using the "send post by email" feature on Blogger doesn't work because it only sends the text and not the Flash embed code. I also tried importing the feed with the Postalicious plugin for WordPress and that didn't work, either--just imported the text in the feed and not the flv or the embed code. :( – thepete, on August 15, 2008 04:49

I know there's something in the settings that says that only videos with titles will be sent to Seesmic, but on the iPhone there doesn't seem to be a way to add a title to videos. Might that be why your videos aren't posting to Seesmic, Nick? I'm pretty sure that's why mine aren't. Seems like the only service I can successfully autocrosspost to is... oh wait--I can't autocrosspost to any service.

My only hope now is to use the RSS feed to import to my WP blog--yeah, like *that* will work.

Gah--forgot--I can autocrosspost to Pownce. Too bad I hardly use Pownce and that there's no plugin for importing Pownce into WordPress.
