Dejumble 2.0 Screen shotsI want to post a little update just to let you know that despite the website being taken down we are working faithfully at getting 2.0 out the door. I understand the many unforeseen issues people have had with synchronization on the earlier versions, and I would like to offer my deepest apology. Your criticism and praise truly motivates me to make this product much better then before. I do hope, that ThinkingCode can regain lost ground from 1.x and provide a incredibly usable task management tool for existing and future users.
The amount of work that has already went into 2.0 insures that it wont simply just go away.
What is coming
The iPhone now synchronizes smart groups from the Mac, so you do not have to use the stock today, past due, etc smart groups.
We are also working on subtask integration as shown below.
Please note that this is not an official feature set. Changes may occur once the official release debuts.
Comments and suggestions are always welcome...

We removed the app from the app store ourselves to prepare for Version 2.0 release... Also our website has been taken down. Users of version 1.x can still receive support via email with support(at)dejumble.com. – allan, on January 18, 2009 18:00

Not entirely true. They offered pre-orders at a reduced rate prior to the official release. – allan, on January 16, 2009 17:59

Yes, and I do apologize about that. We did miss the mark on the release date. The 2.0 release is coming and I personally put over 10 hours a day into the development of this project alone. The promo was originally intended to be with version 2.0 and that version is still coming. All promises of free upgrades are also still in effect. I understand that their have been some problems for some users, this is a fact of software. Better to have a worry free, bug free release then to release another beta be it beta 2.0 or whatever... – allan, on January 16, 2009 17:57

Our version 1.1.x software is not free. Users that have that version can use the beta version as well. The details are explained under the "beta" link from at the top of the main page on our website that has been available for months. – allan, on January 16, 2009 17:48

The fact is, we have been clear that the synchronization server is a beta feature. With beta features, we cannot guarantee that they will work for every person. This is why we give users a 30 day trail period. The promo sites are very clear that their are no refunds allows. We understand that their have been problems for some users, and are working very hard to resolve them in the next release. Also we do our best to be open with what we can say about future releases. As for missing the deadline for the 2.0 release, that is simply a reality of the software market. As such we now cannot give release dates until we are sure the product is ready for release. – allan, on January 16, 2009 17:40

News update, beta and refund policy.Dejumble 2.0 is coming along very well. We still can not give a release date however, but we can promise that it will be coming relatively soon. Please accept our apologies for the delay. Software development is a lengthy process, and we have learned a lesson from the beta releases of Dejumble 1.2.xx. The lesson is to not release any software prematurely. To insure we don't repeat the past mistakes we want to insure the Dejumble 2.0 upgrade is working as advertised for all users.
We will be issuing a private beta of Dejumble 2.0. both for the iPhone as well as the mac version. We will contact people who have signed up in the past to beta test, there will also be a beta signup form on our website.
30 Day limited refund policy
It is simply not possible for us to process any refund request from promo sales (ie mupromo.com and maczot.com) as it is against these site's policies. Regular refunds can only be issued under reasonable cause within thirty days of the purchase. Because the synchronization feature is considered a beta feature, we cannot and will not issue refunds in regards to issues with it.
Dejumble Beta Policy for 1.2 versions.
Just to clear up some misconceptions, We are reposting this excepts from out website here. This is directly from our website under the "beta" link.

We are planning on releasing the 2.0 updates at the same time. This is needed as the new update of Dejumble for Mac will not synchronize with the older iphone version. – allan, on December 22, 2008 15:32

Dejumble 2.0 Update, and Thinking Code's directionWe understand that many of you are disappointed with the lack of updates, and would like to extend our deepest apologies. We have been working on the update over 12 hours a day in preparation of an imminent release.
Thinking Code Software Inc. is undergoing a major restructuring and funding stage. Many exciting features are coming in the next release of Dejumble, however without changes in management and structure we cannot accomplish our goals in a timely manner. We are seeking additional funding in order to release the envisioned product that we know will be extremely beneficial to our customers and change the process of productivity.
It is our focus is to get Dejumble out as soon as possible. Not only have we given Dejumble a face lift and streamlined the synchronization process, we have been pushing to change the face of personal and corporate productivity. We are extremely grateful for your feedback and are exited about incorporating many of your ideas into the next release. Dejumble 2.0, will be more then a simple menu bar application. We have dubbed it A Social Productivity Tool. It is now our official direction to remain tight lipped in regards to features and details of the solution, as this is important to protect our business.
All promises of free upgrades will remain in effect. Once restructuring and funding is complete, an official release date will be announced.
I understand that many may want to switch to other solutions, however I am completely confident that once Dejumble 2.0 is released, the level of quality and ease of use will be hard to resist.
Kind Regard,
Allan Phillips
