I had had exactly this problem with Firefox + Twhirl. (That is, Twhirl was opening IE) Tried doing all the steps above *then* and it worked... now changing the defaults via Windows again, even after reboot, seems not to have any impact. I still get Firefox, not Chrome.

Hey all, unfortunately this is a know issue with Adobe AIR, that we are still waiting on a better solution for. However, you might find some useful tips over here.

Well I don't appear to be a good resource, Chrome is my default browser and links from Twhirl work fine. I can't find anything in Twhirl to change browser selection but assume since it accepts my default browser that it is looking at a global variable.

I've got the same problem. Chrome is the default browser according to windows, but Twhirl doesn't recognise it.

Could be because of something in the AIR api?

Going to search around windows a bit.

I have this same problem. I choose to use Intense Debate for my old comments too. Well, it's not working on every old comments I have had and for those working, the same comments are repeated about 5 times. I don't want manually delete those comments by hand, because it would take too long. What can I do?

Martin, as I wrote to you, it seems that only the first post has this problem. I commented on a previous one you made and the comment count appears.
For some reason however, in the new post you don't even see the comment link so I'm guessing it's a glitch.

Can you try writing a new test post to see if this happens there as well?
