Thijs replied on June 24, 2009 12:08 to the idea "Add character counter to product entry screen" in Get Satisfaction:
A character counter is great, but the worst part of the process is that you have to type the description again if you exceed the limit. So get the order right: first a useful error message with description retention, then a character counter.
The input area is so big that I think that lots of people are exceeding the limit.-

Edward Tufte in The Visual Display of Quantitative Information: "When a graphic is taken over by decorative forms of computer debris, when the data measures and structures become Design Elements, when the overall design purveys Graphical Style rather than quantitative information, then the graphic may be called a duck in honor of the duck-form store..."

The Find Missing Fonts plugin created by Binary Gastronome causes Fontcase 1.1.4 to crashI use Fontcase (version 1.1.4) and installed the Find Missing Fonts plugin. Keeping my Fontcase library automatically up to date is a killer feature for me, but the plugin actually causes the application to crash.
It scans up to about 500 fonts before shutting down, being half way through the animation to switch from the option screen to the scan screen. The crash occurs every single time and it does not matter which folders it has to scan.
Is there anyone else who has the same problem and/or is there a fix in the pipeline?
Thank you in advance
