your are right!!! if you are a soccer mom or a fare weather no body. TB2 started out as a outstanding MESSENGER bag. not any more. Now they dont cater to us anymore. no money in messengers. they lost focus on were they came from and who helped make them. Its not a matter of who is better. Timbuk2 bags have proven one can fill to the max and then some.
Now as far as testing for durability. its easy to say a bike messenger would be far more suited for testing. these products. We ride in the rain, snow,
and heat. Opening and closing our bags a uncounted number of times a day.
Even on occasions drop kicked or run over. So with that said that is why I feel
a wife, mom, student, etc.... Really dont have to were with all to really put this product to the test on a daily basis like a messenger.

I have had my Timbuk bag so long 1997. It used to be called the Tagjunkie. Im from Portland Or. Bike messenger to the hilt. Loved my bag. Now I cant get it any more. and NOW SOCCER MOMS are using them for diaper bags what the hell. Any fool can buy one in REI and they arent even useable TOO SMALL. to top it off they arent even made in SF grant it some are but the bulk I bet are made over seas. So now Im force to Buy Chrome Lost a loyal customer. Thomas johnston
