Okay, for some reason it's working now, and I did nothing new. I wonder why my other site saves as synthasite and not yola?

the site subdomain is coin4us . Should be http://coin4us.synthasite.com
One of my other sites updates as http://digitalpics4us.synthasite.com
Not sure why it doesn't say yola.....

What I did was to modify my text to resemble YouData with font and color adjustment, then embedded (hyperlinked) my referral ID url in the "YouData" text. Maybe that will help you until they come out with a banner.

Sometimes that is the Tough part, using your own content and not someone else's. If you use someone else's content without their permission, you could end up in very hot water. (copyright) Plus search engines don't like repeated content.

Everyone has their own taste and style. However I am looking at adbrite now, and it looks like a good alternative to adsense. Sometimes I think the big G is too big for it's britches and needs some good competition. – Thrundar, on May 05, 2009 22:06

Hi Donald. I've seen and heard of both of those before. I'll take another look at adbrite. Kontera however I'll pass on. In text advertising annoys me, therefore I won't use it to annoy others. Kind of a golden rule thing of doing unto others... I also have used bidvertiser, and widgetbucks. widgetbucks is still quirky, throws up popup ads even when you select for it's widget not to do that. bidvertiser really doesn't have much in relevant ads to match my content.... – Thrundar, on May 05, 2009 16:37

I had a site here for awhile that I worked on, then gave up for awhile and took it down. (So far have made about $40 through adsense in 8 months time through combined site/s here and elsewhere.) I have a domain / website hosted elsewhere and I am fairly happy with the freedom of their drag and drop. It has limitations that synthasite/yola doesn't have though as far as file types. I Really like the fact that yola has vastly improved the file storage system. I can even upload google sketchup files and have them on my page here so others can download. I think I'll be getting a domain here at yola soon. Been hanging around and checking the stability again lately. So far, so good.
Other than adsense, what other advertisers do other's (you) use?

Publishing unavailable--Site repeatedly down past few days

Should we all consider moving our sites to a more stable host? I thought synthasite was good and reliable. However my opinion is quickly changing.
