PBwiki is having trouble delivering to this address. Please it is valid. Reset.
Tim replied on July 17, 2008 17:20 to the question "Creating new wikis remotely" in PBwiki:
seems like a security concern for pbwiki.. they probably don't want to provide an automated way to create new wikis... in fact I'll bet that they do things specifically to prevent that from being possible..
Have you considered pre-generating the wikis and then assigning them to people when they go through your api?
They'd have names like mysiteswiki01.pbwiki.com, mysiteswiki02.pbwiki.com, etc but you change the title to be what they wanted... additionally, you could recycle wikis if your users abandon them.

Tim replied on June 27, 2008 15:59 to the question "PBWiki vs. other document management solutions. Help!" in PBwiki:
pbwiki is a primative-at-best document management system. it is a wiki, which is a way to share/revise/edit/track *html pages* through an easy to use and robust set of user tools. Other document types are supported only in very simplistic terms. It's changing in this area all the time, but still would have a long way to go before it could be used as a document management system (no revision history is supported for documents, as well as no way to annotate the documents on the servers.. currently there is also no way to organize or even mark files with keywords, although these last two are coming very soon)

Tim replied on June 22, 2008 18:44 to the question "Google Indexing, 2.0" in PBwiki:
could be that if you put this into an html file and upload that into your wiki, then go to that page and fill out the form... it may add your site.. I've often experience with pbwiki 2.0 that the underlying functionality exists on pbwiki 2.0 machines that allows 1.0 wikis to operate.
<div class="step"><h3><strong>Step 5</strong>: Submit your site to Google Sitemaps.</h3><p>You can get Google to better-index your wiki by submitting your sitemap. This will also let you see who is linking to your wiki and how.</p><p>First, add your site to your <a href="https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/">Google Webmaster Tools Account</a>. Then, select "Verify" and choose the META verification method. Paste the funny code that comes between the quotes in the META tag given. So if they give you: <blockquote><code><META name="verify-v1" content="BunnyRabbit" /></code></blockquote> ...then you would paste <b>BunnyRabbit</b> below.</p><br /><br /><form action="/admin.php" method="post" class="add-tags"><input type="hidden" name="add_google_sitemap" value="1" /><input type="text" name="google_sitemap_verify" size="30" value="" /><input type="submit" value="Add Sitemap Verification" /></form></div></div>
good luck!

Tim replied on June 19, 2008 00:49 to the question "How do I put HTML code into a wiki page?" in PBwiki:
I uploaded a .js file with lots of document.write statements in it and then inserted a reference to the .js file through a google gadget in order to get a form on one of my pages.
That seemed to work pretty well. Demo can be seen here:

This site is great.. it's got much of the information that I'm expecting to see when I click the "help" link from my wiki... Any thoughts on linking it directly from there?
I think that would help new users because it seems hard to ensure that people will run across this thread while searching getsatisfaction for answers to their particular topics..
