Can we get something other than "Mystery Man" as the Default Avatar?

I had it setup, for users without a custom avatar of their own, that commenters receive a generated "Identicon". Is it a glitch that these users now all have the "Mystery Man" avatar, or is it that function not available using IntenseDebate? ...and if its not available, can the feature be added?

I'm have the same problem as well. None on my old comments are being imported into intensedebate. I still have the plugin on, but switched the settings to standard Wordpress links and comments until something can be figured out.
