I've got the same question.

As you can tell from my Ping.fm photos, suddenly the text i put in the body of the email no longer shows up:

the pic on 9/28/09 worked but the next one I posted on 9/30/09 did not.

Should I just start using the subject line in my MMS? I can't find this anywhere and the twitter.com/pingfm person has yet to reply to my question.

I am using MMS to email on a T-Mobile Wing with Edge/GPRS

I wish Facebook didn't _have_ to be both Microblog and Status. I would like it if it had the two checkboxes like the Twitter option does.
