Jacques shared an idea in Spotify on October 01, 2009 14:17:
Popular songs are always the same, it is very boringOne of the most popular ways to browse music on spotify apprently is through the Popular Artists/album/songs page.
However since the day I subscribed to spotify premium 25 days ago, the list of popular artists has stayed EXACTLY THE SAME! Not that I don't like lady gaga or micheal jackson, but Im sure that if you showed popular stuff in the last 24hours or 7 days, the list of popular artists and songs would renew itself more often, and show different artists, helping this page regain interest for everybody, letting us know whats hot NOW, not whats hot since the day the platform was launched!!!
So the problem is, to me, that your popular stuff list shows popular stuff in the month, which is too long, indeed I use spotify everyday and don't want to listen to the same stuff everyday!
concretely, my idea is the following one:
- Either show popular stuff in the last 7 days
- or, let your users choose what they want to see: popular in the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 365 days.
There are many other stuff you should do to assist your users in browsing your content, but enough free consulting for spotify, i hope you'll introduce these features soon.
Thanks

Jacques replied on August 20, 2009 18:29 to the problem "Firefox has just crashed 5 times in 3 minutes!" in Mozilla:
Hi, thanks for your answer, i checked my crash reports, and there is nothing since i didn't report to mozilla any crash... next time FF crashes, I will report it and post my crash report link here.
But seriously, never before had I experience crashes like that with any browser: the window instantly closes, like poof! in 1 second Firefox is gone! When I open it back, I get a message like:
"Hum, that's embarrassing Firefox crashed..."
but FF still offers the possibility to reopen the tabs that where open before it crashed: that's why I still love Firefox, no matter what!

Firefox has just crashed 5 times in 3 minutes!I don't know what's up with firefox these days, but since last week, FF has had the tendency to crash for no reason while i was surfing. The most surprising is that the window just shuts down with no warning whatsoever...
Could you please tell me if you have been reported this problem lately, or if it's just me?!
Anyway, i'll reinstall it on my PC.... For the time being I use chrome until i find a solution..

I don't like the way you have organized the company's page ie. http://getsatisfaction.com/getsatisfa...
I couldnt find the "people" and "topics" sections which made me write this topic! I think the tab presentation was better, now if i wanna reach other sections I have to click on this teny-tiny little button next to "community"... Moreover, from my prespective, the word community doesnt match what you get when you click on the button next to it... Yes I think the previous version was easier to understand.

Jacques started following the question "Why does a leading 'The' sometimes get removed or added to an artist name when I'm editing/adding an event?" in Songkick.

I've installed and run the Songkicker but no artists have been added to my tracker - why not?Hi, I just downloaded songkick, i think the concept is nice.
HOWEVER, sonkick plugin for itunes scaned my music and nothing happened, I have about 800 songs and 300 international artists in my itunes library, and nothing was synced with my songkick account!! What is the point of scanning my music on itunes if it doesnt sync automatically and look for concerts taking place around me????
Im sure there is something i didnt get, thats why im just asking you to help me here please!

Jacques shared an idea in Seesmic on November 13, 2008 13:17:
Sort videos by categories or tagsI am a new user of seesmic and it is pretty difficult to browse content in your video database. As I am the first of my group of friends using seesmic, I don't know who I can address a video to and neither whose videos I should watch...
If it was possible for users to tag their video in a category (or simply to tag it with their own words) when they post it, it would a lot easier to find content that interests me. INstead I have to watch the video to find out what they re talking about...
I hope you will consider this idea, if not Im afraid seesmic will allways stay a web 2.0 experts website...
