Hi Josehua! It looks like Watchgamefilm.com is using the latest version of Silverlight to show the actual game film. Unfortunately, the PowerPC Mac platform is not a supported platform for Silverlight versions 2 or later. You might want to contact the watchgamefilm.com (http://watchgamefilm.com/contact.aspx) staff and see if there is an alternate way for you to view.

hard to say without debugging with you :-) (which i'm happy to do). Silverlight uses the client's culture/regional settings for it's display. You can force specific regional settings when setting text information, etc. by passing in culture information.

When you pull the data off the stream -- in debug does it show correctly in Silverlight? Just trying to isolate what's going on. If it is being sent to HTML looking correct, then it appears to be a browser/HTML issue.

When you say the text 'is coming from Silverlight' are you using the HTML interop bridge to communicate with Javascript? If you debug is the text correct and it is just an issue when the browser renders it? Are characters being properly encoded?

Hi chessmaster...the 'now playing' in this area of this radio stations user interface is HTML and not Silverlight...I'm not seeing what you are, but that area (now playing text) is not Silverlight. You may want to report it with a screenshot to the radio station and perhaps they aren't rendering the text correctly in HTML when they update it.

No, Silverlight 2 does not work on PowerPC platforms. Silverlight 1 is supported on PowerPC platforms, that is correct.

Orlando -- is the G4 a PowerPC mac platform? If so it's possible this site is using Silverlight 2 which is not supported on the PowerPC Mac platform (only Intel-based).

Jean, okay if the other links work then Silverlight is properly installed and working. I would contact Netflix support and indicate to them that you are having a problem with their application and not other Silverlight applications. Make sure you are substituting your own user name (sorry if it sounds insulting but some people read that literally -- find the folder with your logged on user name). The AppData folder is a hidden folder so you won't be able to find it by browsing (unless your settings enable showing hidden folders). When you find the user name, you'll have to open windows explorer and type the path in. If the folder isn't there, then likely you haven't visited a Silverlight site since the install that uses the storage mechanism (not all of them do). – timheuer, on March 08, 2009 18:51

I'm not sure if that LOC ERROR is coming from the plugin or not, but deleting the preferences application isn't a good idea.

Lukis have we already tried removing Silverlight completely and starting over? Delete the IS folder then remove the plugin completely and re-install?

Lukis have you tried the other steps of deleting the "is" folder for your user account. Also curious if you tried uninstalling the plugin and re-installing it?
