Hi - can't believe you haven't had a response yet! Amazing!! OK - it's happening to me too because I put my password in wrong. It's been over 10 days but I still can't log in to my account. However, if you click "Support" on the bottom of the page where you get the annoying message telling you to "chillax" (is that English?), you can log in to Twitter Support with your usual account details. Then when you click on the Back to Twitter icon, magically you're logged in to your Twitter account.

Doesn't solve the problem, but it is a way around it.
