Trond Kjetil replied on November 29, 2008 19:38 to the problem "Why aren't my invites going out :(" in Spotify:
Have you tried to give the number to those you invite in another way? The number works as an invite code no matter how you deliver it to them. Try instant message, Facebook, writing the e-mail yourself, write it down on a piece of paper and send it in a letter, whisper it in their ear during class, or some other way.
Trond Kjetil replied on November 29, 2008 19:33 to the question "Will Spotify expand with full-length movies?" in Spotify:
I was going to write a very negative post about movies in Spotify, as it would be a terrible brand extension, it would dillute the brand as it is now.
I want an excellent music service, not a piece of software that tries to do everything.
But then I realized, that I do kind of want video. Not full lenght Hollywood movies, not at all.
I could see music videos, concert recordings, documentaries and the likes being a good addition to Spotify down the road.

A comment on the question "Why do songs disapear." in Spotify:
ph0x is right. Remember, people are worried. We started using an excelleint service with lots and lots of music, and the promise of an evergrowing library. Bliss.
Suddenliy, tracks started dissappearing, whole albums vanishing. No real answer from Spotify (you are getting better at it though). What if every mainstream artist just disappears one at a time? Because that is what it looks like to us. Albums, whole discographies I listened to when I first started using isn't available anymore.
It is scary, without a reliable database, I do not know what I'm paying for anymore.
And people have a need to vent out their feelings,. Just like you did, when you calling every one elses whining spam;P
That's what customer support is for:)
Whining, complaining, spam, whatever you like to call it, we need it. I believe every comment is useful, it is democratizing.
Please don't ask people to shut up and eat their food. We are grown-ups now. We are allowed to be picky;) – Trond Kjetil, on November 20, 2008 19:46

You are blaming us for not being constructive?
Well then, what is not constructive about asking questions (complaining even) about the database of a service, the very database the service relies on?
It's not that the service lacks music, it is just that music keeps dissappearing from the database without any notice.
And, as Raz pointed out, it is a well known psycological fact that people feel more discomfort when we lose something, than we feel comfort when gaining something. – Trond Kjetil, on November 20, 2008 17:55-

Upload your own collectionAs your collection is lacking (and for some reason music is dissappearing), why not let us upload our own music?
The age of cloud computing is on us, and a big reason to why I want Spotify to be my one and only source of music is because then I do not have to go through all the pain-staking processes it takes to move and sync my music between my devices. Some of my devices do not even have the capacity to store music (e.g. my Asus Eee).
And let's face it, even though you get to the point where you have 95% of the world's music, there's always going to be a few albums your missing, due to licencing or just that you aren't well enough known. There's always going to be bands that aren't letting you touch their music.
This could perhaps be solved by letting us (Premium users) upload parts of our own collection to you, supplementing what you offer with what you don't offer. This music would, of course, be tied to the account adn only be playable by the owner of the account.
I see a lot of people want to be able to play their local collection with Spotify, this suggestion ups the ante a bit;)
But it makes more sense, I believe.
Keep up the good work!-

tkbremnes asked a question in Yahoo! on November 14, 2008 21:03:
The stand alone Flickr uploader application is annoyingly slowAnd worst of all, it rarely finishes.
Most of my uploads are big bulk uploads, sometimes with numbers in the hundreds. Therefore it is very annoying that it uploads like 4 pictures slowly and ultimately times out. Fortunately, I can still use the web-based uploader, even getting good speeds. The problem witht this is that it kinda gimps my current workflow.
Any tips, suggestions?

I'm a premium member, though. And from Norway too.

tkbremnes replied on November 13, 2008 12:00 to the idea "Gmail gadget" in OtherInbox:
While an extension to the Firefox browser will be great (that is what you meant by "a different way of integrating", right?), one problem with that is that you are locked to Firefox. I only use Firefox 8/10 times (others include Google Chrome and Opera), for instance. Others choose not use Firefox at all.
And the biggest problem with that is that you can't access this OtherInbox-Gmail integration when you're not at "your" Firefox. At school I'm not allowed to install extensions, when I'm using a friend's computer the same applies.
Gmail-gadgets, while you can't have all the features as with an extension, gives you an overview of what's happening no matter where you surf:)
Yeah, I know that I can have a portable version of Firefox on an usb-stick, but it is rarely worth the trouble.

Gmail gadgetWhat about making a Gmail-gadget? In labs, Gmail recently opened ut for custom sidebars. Would make sense and, be great to be able to have a glance of what's new in my other inbox form Gmail (which I live in).
I mean, Remember the milk made one:P-
