ShepProudfoot started following the question "Settings will not allow me to save changes to my BIO" in Twitter.
ShepProudfoot asked a question in Twitter on August 08, 2009 06:56:
Cannot update my one line bio"Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand."
this is the message i'm getting when trying to update my One Line Bio. i hit submit and the page hangs for around 30-40 seconds and then, in Safari presents "Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand." - in Firefox, I just get a blank screen.
I use 4 other Twitter accounts and have never had this issue... Thoughts/suggestions?
I thought it may be a temporary problem so left it last night and tried first thing this morning, but still no joy. Please help!! Thanks :)

Hyphen in title is replaced with weird charactersfirst of all - the new website is looking fantastic!! well done mario..
just a quick question
the hyphen character in my post comes through fine via Twitter on the web, but on external apps - Tweetie, Seesmic etc etc it comes through as a funny character.
Let me show you an example:
Twitter:
[REVIEW] White Rabbits – It’s Frightening: It’s Frightening, the sophomore effort from Brooklyn/Mi.. http://tinyurl.com/l7qyce
Tweetie:
[REVIEW] White Rabbits – It’s Frightening: It’s Frightening, the sophomore effort from Brooklyn/Mi.. http://tinyurl.com/l7qyce
obviously this isn't a huge deal. i was just wondering if it had anything to do with how twitterfeed parsed that particular character?

tlobf asked a question in twitterfeed on April 19, 2009 20:03:
Switch to Feedblitz has made Twitterfeed slow down...So, I finally gave up with using Feedburner for my RSS - since the merger with Google, things have been going really downhill. I literally had to ReSynch my feed EVERY time i made a post just to get it to ping properly.. sooo frustrating.
anyhoo - im using feedblitz now and it is working great. updating within minutes of posting etc - great stuff.
my twitterfeed today has been behaving strangely -
i.e - i posted at 12:30pm - it is not 9pm and the post still hasnt appeared on Twitter...
my Twitter user is tlobf and my feed is http://feeds.feedblitz.com/tlobf
if someone could take a look - that would be great!
thanks

aaah yes - i should have actually stated..
basically - i set my feedburner account up so i would have an indivdual feed for EACH category on my site.. so the twitterfeed prefix would be (for example)
[News] bla bla bla
[Review] bla bla bla
problem being that NONE of them have updated. apart from a single [Live] review yesterday.. i'm missing about 20 posts i guess.
i have been running twitterfeed like this for about 3 weeks now and it's been fine..
so the individual feeds are:
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobfart...
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobfnews
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobfint...
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobfgigs
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobfpla...
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobfrev...
i paused http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobf - for the simple reason that it would just repeat everything that has already been checked by twitterfeed if you get what i mean...
tlobf asked a question in twitterfeed on March 13, 2009 10:51:
twitterfeed suddenly stopped working for me, anyone else having the same issue?finally Google and Feedburner seemed to be working in harmony... where i've been having trouble with Feedburner recognising my feed - back to manual pinging again for now until they get back on track.. my main concern at the moment is Twitterfeed has suddenly stopped checking my site - even though i haven't changed any settings..
i haven't had recent posts in over two days (well - apart from one stray)
i paused all of my feeds via twitterfeed, then re-started them to see if it would force it back into action but no joy...
my twitter account is @tlobf
and feedburner addy is: feed://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobf
any help/advice is always appreciated!

no problems, and thanks for getting back to me. your support is really appreciated.
same thing happened yesterday. had a post that has been picked up by feedburner but not twitterfeed.. normally, i wouldnt be so bothered - but when things sporadically work fine then not at all i end up wracking my brains as to what the problem is..
again - as soon as you read this, the post will probably have been burned...16 hours later. ha!
tlobf marked one of Mario Menti's replies in twitterfeed as useful. Mario Menti replied to the question "is it better to use GUID or Publish Date?".

so as a continuation from yesterdays discussion..
twitterfeed has yet to update my twitter, from posts made last night and this morning. now, probably when you check they will be there! haha, but it certainly isn't checking every 30 minutes like the settings imply.
the feed via feedburner is up to date though, which is all the more confusing.
could i maybe suggest a feature for twitterfeed? like a forced ping or something - along the same lines as ping shot from feedburner...
if you could take a look at my settings mario i would be much obliged.
my twitter is richtlobf
and feed url is : http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobf
if you need any more info from me, don't hesitate to ask
thanks!

is it better to use GUID or Publish Date?just curious really...
i've been playing with the setting in twitterfeed for a week or so now, and can't seem to get any consistency with how often twitterfeed updates to my twitter..
for example, all day it was working fine. then yesterday afternoon, my site was updated 3 times and even though feedburner picked up on it, nothing through via twitterfeed..
my twitter is richtlobf
and feed url is : http://feeds2.feedburner.com/tlobf
ive looked around for alternatives to twitterfeed and even though there are a couple, this seems the best and i really want it to work out!
thanks!-
tlobf started following the idea "Update frequency to every 5 minutes." in twitterfeed.
