Tim O'Brien replied on October 01, 2009 20:17 to the idea "Give back to GNU what belongs to GNU : Linux becoming GNU/Linux" in Sonatype:
Yes, while I'm fine with the standard usage of Linux, I'm also very mindful of the idea that we should do what we can to educate in this case. I will use the term GNU/Linux initially, add a footnote that explains and defines the term, but throughout the book we'll likely stick with the standard usage.
Would that be acceptable?-

A comment on the problem "Inconsistency in Zip Code used in Book versus Example (Printed Book)" in Sonatype:
Ok John, I'll put this at the top of my list. I think what we need to do is going through the example code with a fine-toothed comb and make sure that it is up to date.
Also, I'd like to get to the point where the example code always ships with the correction version of the book. – Tim O'Brien, on September 25, 2009 18:42
