I am having this problem as well. I am using mp3 files that have been purchased legally through Zune software. It occurs on multiple albums, including mp3 files obtained elsewhere. I have played the mp3 files on Zune and other software and confirmed that they do in fact work. Songbird will recognize the files and they are in my library. But when I click play no music will play despite the fact that songbird thinks it is playing. I have deleted my library and reloaded but that has not worked either. Interestingly, it plays all of my Zune protected files perfectly.

I am using 1.1.2, on Vista x86. I did get songbird from the main website.
