Tom Carroll set one of Tom Carroll's replies as an official response to "Does Azigo work with Internet Explorer 8?" in Azigo
Tom Carroll replied on March 19, 2009 20:37 to the question "Does Azigo work with Internet Explorer 8?" in Azigo:
Azigo is still working to certify full compatiblity with IE8, but initial testing indicate that there are no problems.
One thing you will notice, is that IE8 has increased security related to ActiveX controls. So the first time you go to a web site that triggers Azigo, (which should be any web site displaying the 'purple i' Information Card Icon) you'll get a yellow warning at the top of your browser window, that says the web site wants to run 'Azigo Browser Extension' from 'Parity Communications, Inc.'.
Just click on it, and select 'Run add-on on All Websites', and it won't bother you again.

Tom Carroll replied on March 19, 2009 20:27 to the question "Mac Compatibility Progress...?" in Azigo:
We now have a full Azigo installer available for OSX 10.5.2+ with FireFox. You can get it at http://www.azigo.com/download/mac.html. It works with both Intel and PowerPC Macs.
We're still working on a fix for OSX 10.4.
Tom Carroll replied on January 29, 2009 12:06 to the question "Use Firefox info card selector add-in independently of az" in Azigo:
If you just want to try the Azigo connector with CardSpace, you could download and install the full Azigo application, and then just go into your windows control panels, open the "I-Card Selector Selector" control panel (funny name, huh?), and switch it to CardSpace. Now both IE and FF browsers will send their Information Card calls to CardSpace.

Tom Carroll replied on January 08, 2009 16:14 to the question "Azigo modify rpps server address" in Azigo:
Wow, only a real techie would use a term like "rpps".
Anyway, the Azigo client reads all the URLs from a file called AirSelector.dat
For Windows, this is in your user profile under:
~\AppData\Roaming\com.azigo.cardselector.air.xxxxxx\Local Store\AirSelector.dat
For Mac, this is in: ~/Library/Preferences/com.azigo.cardselector.air.xxxxxx/Local Store/AirSelector.dat
In both of these, the xxxxx is a very long, seemingly random string.

Tom Carroll shared an idea in Apple on November 20, 2008 16:43:
Please let information cards onto the iPhone!Typing passwords on the iPhone really stinks. Clicking information cards would be so much cooler. We'd really like it if you let information cards onto the iPhone.
(There is a teensy little problem with the way this connects to the browser - not entirely within the apple developer rules, which is where we need the help.)
www.iphoneicards.com built on Higgins open source.
A comment on the idea "Add Infomation Card login to GS / Help Center?" in Get Satisfaction:
Wow, Chris, lots of questions about I-Cards! Not sure this is the best forum for this discussion, but what the heck, here goes:
- When would GS issue I-Cards? Best place would be on the GS site, probably from the Profile page, or Dashboard. At that point, GS has authenticated the member, and so can associate an I-Card with the account.
- iPhone I-Cards? - Unfortunately, there isn't yet a selector available for any mobile platform that I know about, but this isn't because of any technical limitation, just that no one has gotten around to building one yet. I'd bet that someone over at the Higgins Project will build one soon - or if you are interested, go ahead, the standards are all open.
- Desktop apps & I-Cards? - Actually, I-cards work just fine with desktop apps, they just need to call the same kind of authentication API that the browser plug-in calls. We've put together a little animated demo to show how this can work, and compatibility with local apps is one of the tests being demonstrated today at the OSIS I4 InterOp Workshop at DIDW. – Tom Carroll, on September 09, 2008 14:37
A comment on the idea "Add Infomation Card login to GS / Help Center?" in Get Satisfaction:
Scott - I understand about priorities, and you're correct on the point that overall I-Card adoption is still in its infancy, but I think you'll quickly see that radar blip grow.
Chris - Regarding the remote Help Center sites, this is where the biggest benefit would be. If GS issued an I-Card to each of its users, then when a user visited a Help Center site, they could log-in with that I-Card. Since the card carries a secure token directly from GS to the Help Center site, the user doesn't need to go through the clumsy OAuth redirect dance - they just get immediate access to the Help Center site with a single click. (And also are spared the potential phishing trip.) Better usability, better security. – Tom Carroll, on September 08, 2008 10:59
