For all accounts, the maximum file size is 1 GB. The larger the file is, the greater chance there is of it failing to transcode. For Pro accounts, transcoding is not impacted as much because they enjoy an extended transcode duration. There is not a limit on the length of the video itself.
You're right though, this isn't in the FAQ. We'll add it. Thanks for letting us know.

Hi there,
Generally we do strongly recommend using separate accounts for separate shows for the reasons you gave related to distribution.
A Pro account allows you to Fast User Switch between multiple accounts quickly without logging in and out, but it does not enable Pro features on these other accounts unfortunately. You would need to upgrade other accounts to Pro in order to use the features like Scheduled Releases, iPod transcodes, etc.
Hope that helps,
Tom

Tom Reynolds replied on October 29, 2009 21:14 to the question "How can I distribute my videos to iTunes, Roku, etc?" in blip.tv:
Hi,
You can apply and set up all of these distribution options at http://blip.tv/dashboard/distribution
Some distribution options just require your consent, while others require some set up on your send like providing user names and passwords. Certain distribution points, such as YouTube and Roku require approval from the content team here at blip.tv before you are able to crosspost, so make sure you have at least 2-3 episodes uploaded before applying.
Hope that helps,
Tom

Hey there,
What you want to do is replace the thumbnail. Visit your Dashboard (http://blip.tv/prefs/) and find the episode you're looking to work with. Click "Edit" on that episode and then replace the thumbnail by uploading one of your own. Save the episode.
The new thumbnail should appear in your player within fifteen minutes.

Tom Reynolds replied on October 29, 2009 21:10 to the question "how can i upload my videos on bliptv in the original 16:9 format?" in blip.tv:
Hi there,
This problem is caused by what's called "anamorphic" wide screen video. Basically, this is video that's designed to be played back in a 4:3 square (like a television) or 16x9 (like a movie screen, or a newer television). It's designed to be played back both ways, but the way it's designed it defaults to being played back 4:3. That means that our system tries to play it back 4:3 too (largely because that's the format most video is encoded and uploaded in).
The best way to solve this problem is to use different settings or different software to export your video. If your editing software has a checkbox or a setting anywhere labeled "anamorphic" you should uncheck this box (you may want to search your software's help for this term for additional help). If you can't find this setting you may want to try different software.
