When reporting or charting by an attribute it would be nice to be able add a column/line/etc. for "overall" which would show the total value across all atribute values. This would facilitate comparing each attribute value against the total or overall value.

The current project home page has relatively little use to project users (in practice, I've seen few if any users take advantage of the "show this report on my home page" feature), and is usually not the page users would choose to see when they first log in to a project. Instead, it would be nice to allow users to select another page within the project (or perhaps even a dashboard tab) to view when they first log in.

When we export a report to XLS format the column headers are messed up. They appear to be in the right order but the headers are wrong. (the same problem exists for PDF exports)

I only had three records. Though I still wasn't able to map it after the upload. I dummied up a larger data set and it recognized the date field.

I uploaded a new data set with a date attribute field (e.g. "10/14/2009") and the system never gave me the option of mapping that field to the Date (US) dimension (as it has in the past). There are no NULLs in the field.

Can I add new fields (attributes or facts) to data sets?

Without getting errors or blowing up existing reports? Or do I have to "start from scratch" each time I want to add something new at the end of the CSV file I've been uploading? if it's not possible, it would be nice to be able to add a new field to the end of a CSV and have the system recognize it as something new and let me just add that field to the data model.

Weird report problem

I want to report on an attribute that has four values:

But the report shows only two of them:

Plus note that the report has odd formatting with the extra cell.

I have checked my data and there is no reason all four values shouldn't be in the report.

I tried dragging and dropping a report name to a space name and it worked. The first time. After that, repeated attempts to drag more reports to that space failed to do anything. (Firefox 3.5.3 OS X 10.6)

A common use for this I've found: a 1 or 0 attritbute or flag which can also be summed (to get a count) or averaged (to get a rate) in metrics.

Changed attribute name not reflected in chart labels

I changed an attribute's name in the Data section. In the report building section the name change is reflected. However, in chart views, the old attribute name still shows up. (Specifically in the data labels which appear upon mousing over a point in a chart, and in the "Configuration" section to the right of a chart -- see screen shot).

Let Admins "back up" a project

It would be nice to be able to back up a Good Data project so in the event it got deleted by mistake (it can happen) it could be restored if needed without having to recreate all the structures which define the project. The backup does not need to include the data, but should include everything else (Users, Reports, Dashboards, Attributes, Facts, Metrics, Data Sets, Model)

To clarify: The zip code data upload/join NEVER works. This (non-zipcode) data upload worked fine the next time I tried it.
