Have you tried reinstalling Safari, it might be that there is something wrong with the browser, if your network is working well on other browsers.

Do they receive the request in their requests inbox?

I will pass on your feedback, however I think this will be unlikely to change. Moderators have rights on the network, but not in changing fundamental things on a network.

Yes there is a limit at present of about 5 of each kind of widget... this will be something we will consider raising in the future.
