Tom asked a question in TweetDeck on March 06, 2009 01:30:
TweetDeck should have a block functionAlthough Twitter does not have an API call that lets you get a list of who has been blocked, until that happens it would be very useful if you could block people in TweetDeck, so that you don't have to see posts by idiots in Replies or Search feeds.-
Tom started following the question "How do I tell if I have blocked someone using the API?" in Twitter.

What markup is used in the descriptions for Skitch? On most services, there is something that explains what kind of markup is used in text areas - here on GetSatisfaction, there's a little thing underneath the textbox that says "Some HTML allowed" (click on it and it gives you a pop-up window showing you what is allowed). On Skitch, there is no such advice. I've just tried adding some HTML to the description on an uploaded image. No luck. Then I tried Textile. Haven't tried Markdown. I just wanted to add a link to another screenshot that's related. Would it be possible to allow markup in the descriptions and comments? Preferably "some HTML" and not some silly HTML alternative like Markdown or Textile (I've already got about ten different horrific HTML reimplementations stored in my head).
Preferably, with the description, try and copy Flickr's closely. I'd like to end up using skitch.com for screenshots much like I use flickr.com for photos.

Search results should include usersThe search on Huffduffer ought to search for both audio and users. If I type in 'adactio', I should get stuff that's tagged adactio, but it should also point out there's a user called 'adactio'.
Tom shared an idea in friendfeed on January 29, 2009 12:20:
FriendFeed should add SkitchThere are others who want Skitch on FriendFeed. I like the separation of using Flickr for proper taken-with-a-camera photo and Skitch for the morass of screenshots that a geek produces quite on a daily basis.

Tom Morris reported a problem in Get Satisfaction on May 12, 2008 21:51:
Services as well as productsI added 'Southeastern Trains' recently, but when I go to add a problem I have with the service, it asks me what 'product' I want to report it on. My local train company don't really offer a product - but a service. It would be helpful if the UI reflected the fact that not all companies make products, some offer services - some only offer one service (like trains).
I can cope with cognitively mapping 'product' to 'service', but others may find it more difficult.

Train seats uncomfortableThe 'high density' rolling stock used on the London-Hastings line is extremely uncomfortable. Unlike the other seating used on the service, it tends to leave both myself and others feeling quite uncomfortable.
Tom Morris replied on March 21, 2008 15:48 to the discussion "why would a college student use twitter?" in Twitter:
Group conversations. It's all about your individual set of friends and their outlook on the world. It's more passive than IM - you just put your ideas out there, and sometimes people react.
It's useful as a way of blasting all your friends with a piece of information. I have been at events or parties and gotten a Twitter message telling me that another event is on nearby - and decided to drop in to that event on the basis of that Twitter message.
Similarly, if you need some help or suggestions, you can put it up on Twitter and often get useful responses quickly from friends.
It's totally addictive. That said, most of my university friends don't use it. They prefer Facebook, which I think is utterly crap. Horses for courses, different strokes and all that.
