Just to be easy, I'll copy my email to @SpyMasterPhil:

Hi Phil,
Like I mentioned via DM, I didn't track exact numbers on my first large sale of 1,865 Fragmentation Jackets, but I remember thinking I was shorted about 30k. We'll get back to those in a second.
My more recent sale was of 101 Yarygin PYa “Grach” Pistols. These were purchased at 780.00 each, and therefore held a purchase value of 78,780.00.
My cash reading pre-sale was 60.96k. Post-sale, it read 86.11k, for a total profit of 25.15k - or about 25,150.00 Considering I sold 101 of these, this would put the approximate sale value at 249.00. This is about 31.92% of purchase price.
The information on the left of the 'Black Market' screen does mention that items will take a 20% decrease in value when sold. This should have made my Grachs worth 624.00 each, not 249.00 and the complete sale worth 63,024.00 - an incredible difference of 37,874.00.
If we take a second look at the Frag Jackets for a second, and use the same values (31.92%), I would have been selling my 50.00 jackets for 15.96 each, instead of the 40.00 expected. The sale would have therefore totaled 29,765.40, instead of the 74,600.00 expected. A difference of 44,834.60. This isn't the same as the 30k I recall, but I'm guessing at these values using the numbers from the Grachs.
I hope this helps. It sucks to have been expecting to have a LOT more cash than I currently have.-

Tommy Vallier replied on May 13, 2008 20:46 to the question "What are the rules about using music?" in TalkShoe:
Hey there!
The absolute EASIEST way to use music is to use something that's either in the public domain or is "podsafe" (Meaning the artist has licensed it for use in podcasts specifically or has licensed it under the broader Creative Commons license).
Generally, music licensed in these fashions requires some sort of attribution - either vocally, or int your call description or on a companion site if you're maintaining one outside of TalkShoe.
You can do a quick Google search for "podsafe music" or "creative commons music" and find TONS of artists and songs. Replace "music" with "audio" and you'll come across sound clips and stingers/bumpers, too.
Another option is to seek out artists (Or groups representing them) and ask specific permission. Often, independent artists will let you play their songs (or song segments) on a show for free, so long as you credit them, even if they haven't released their music under a podcast-friendly license.
Your last option (and your only one if you're looking to use mainstream music) is to seek out licensing bodies (such as ASCAP and BMI) and pay licensing fees. This is (obviously) not free, but depending on the agreement reached may not be too expensive.

Why not IM Networks?I'd love to see support for the major IM networks (ICQ,AIM,Yahoo,MSN,Skype...)
Most of these have URLs that allow you to quickly add a user to your contact list.

Tommy Vallier replied on April 03, 2008 21:13 to the question "Why does TalkShoe ask for profile information?" in TalkShoe:
We use profile information in several ways:
- Talkers and listeners may want to see information about who is hosting a Community Call.
- When you are on a Community Call, other participants may view your profile information to learn more about you and connect with you.
- You can be alerted about interesting Community Calls which match your profile.
- You can connect with people of like interests.
You can edit your profile by clicking on "My TalkShoe" then on the "Profile" link. We use profile information only on our site and do not give or sell this information to any outside website or service.- Talkers and listeners may want to see information about who is hosting a Community Call.

Tommy Vallier replied on April 03, 2008 21:04 to the question "How do I host my own Community Call?" in TalkShoe:
Anyone can host their own Community Call. Here's how to get started:
1. First, click on the green "Create" button towards the top of the page. You'll then have the option to either schedule a new episode for an existing call, or create a whole new call series/show.
2. During this create process, you'll be able to add title and descriptions to your call, choose it's default length, choose whether you'd like it to be a public call or an unlisted one and invite other people to join in via email. You'll also need to fill out the information for the call series if it's new.
3. As a host, we recommend you use the TalkShoe Live! Pro software available for download here, because of it's added featuress.
4. When your call goes live, launch TalkShoe Live! (Pro OR Web) by clicking on the appropriate button on the call page. You can find the call page under "My TalkShoe" or in the directory. Once you launch the TalkShoe Live! software, you'll be able to mute and unmute chatters and callers, and record your call. And if you're using the downloadable TalkShoe Live! Pro, you'll be able to see who's talking, too!

I totally agree about it being a very fine line.
While I obviously don't have final say in this, I think the key point would be to make sure people understand that these advisors/guides/deputies have been appointed their title by the company in question but don't officially represent the company. So ... they're unauthoritative authorities?

Tommy Vallier replied on March 28, 2008 02:38 to the question "What's a host?" in TalkShoe:
We use the term "host" to someone who controls a Community Call. The host of a given call chooses the topic, creates the call, schedules episode(s), and invites guests. They also get to choose if the call is public (so that anyone on the website can join) or unlisted (so that only invited friends, family, or associates can participate). Each of these Community Calls have names, descriptions, starting times, durations, etc. Once the call begins, the host has additional recording, muting and call and chat features to help moderate the live call.
