I think there is a problem with MY poken and not with his. I remember to have pokened with other people too and also they don't show up in my friends list. Probably my poken is defect. Not good for a reseller. ;-)
Ah, and yes, he registered, and yes, the lights glowed up green. I always show this to new customers, so i'm sure it did.

Ton replied on March 02, 2009 11:53 to the question "API: When?" in Poken:
Idealy the API should contain:
- Functionality that doyoupoken.com has: collect contacts, clear device, etc.
- Ability to use more than just the business card and social networks field. Braindump: food preference, car maintenance history, buying preference, easier access to identities (but i guess you do that in the hardware, not the software).
- Ability to use the poken device against more than just doyoupoken.com but i'm not going to tell you that. ;-)
Do you see where i want to go? Extend the use of the poken device beyond doyoupoken.com. Prospects have shown some REALLY CLEAR business needs for a device like the poken.

Unregistered contact. Do pokens need to be registered for them to function correctly?I was under the impression that you can poken someone, even if they haven't created an account on the doyoupoken.com website yet and then, when the user registers, i automagically get the updated card with the right details.
However, today i pokened a recently sold, and therefor not registered yet, poken and the card i get is the Unregistered card. Sounds logical, right? However, the user HAS registered and claims that he didn't recive my details either.
What goes wrong here? And why can i not accept an unregistered poken contact and wait for their details to be filled in?
Or do poken have to be registered to be able to poken and be pokened?

API: When?Do we have an idea when the API will be made publicly available? So we already know what features and functions the API will support?

Hmmm, vCard export doesn't work. And i don't have anything special in place.
Spanish links: Check out this onehttp://sibetech.com/2009/poken-los-he.... This one looks the best so far. TV coverage: http://www.tv3.cat/videos/1004279 Short but sweet. Poken in schools: http://tresescompanyia.blogspot.com/2... (Catalan language).

New website up. Here we go...So there was an update of the website again. This is what i found so far...
- Error when entering user Home (see attached)
- Same error when i Manage my Friends and search for nothing.
- Clicking the vCard link takes me to the Welcome page (http://www.doyoupoken.com/PokenWeb/co...)
- Devices, Manage Modes: The link How do Modes work? still links to http://www.doyoupoken.com/PokenWeb/co... which has nothing to do with modes.
Some more questions:
- How do i get my site on http://www.doyoupoken.com/PokenWeb/co...?
- Where is the spanish language?
- Where are the spanish links for http://www.doyoupoken.com/PokenWeb/co...?
That's it for now.
Ah, and again, can you at least fix the Invalid Poken Action for new poken users who are using IE6? (a "yes" or "no" will do...)
Have fun!

Ton asked a question in Poken on February 19, 2009 18:49:
Why 5 identities? Or better, HOW do i use 5 identities? So i can create up to 5 identities. However, i can only have two distict identities in my poken, one Normal identity and one Discreet identity.
I can "open up" the discreet identity for 30 second if i double-squeeze the poken.
How do i open up the other 3 identities?
Ton replied on February 19, 2009 18:45 to the problem "POKEN, to early ???" in Poken:
http://www.doyoupoken.com/PokenWeb/co... points to How do i change my battery. It should point to How do modes work? which i cannot find on the site anymore. I can find this phrase about modes: "Your poken has a “Discrete” mode. By default, if you double-squeeze the palm of your poken’s hand (like a double-click), it enters this mode, which means for the next 30 seconds anyone you poken will only receive a “ghost ID.” "
Is that still correct? Isn't it so that when i double-squeeze the poken i allow to share my discreet identity and not my ghost identity?

So is this where we report boken links?
http://www.doyoupoken.com/PokenWeb/co... gives an empty page.
GlowTalk in http://www.doyoupoken.com/PokenWeb/co... points to http:///PokenWeb/corporate/howdoesitworks.jsf?panel=glow which is local.

Then my stats is Wordpress are cheatng on me. Let me get some real "official" stats from the web.
But seriously, in my company (big IT company) IE6 is still comapny standard. I just asked an ex-colleague in my previous company (another even bigger IT company) and also there the official standard is still IE6.
I hate it as much as you do to work with an 8 year old browser.
