EXACTLY! I was the one thinking about this idea. But the reactions opened my mind. The power of poken is its simplicity. See my other reaction on E. Too complex, too expensive. Poken as it is right now is the way to go.

I signed up for the HelloMyNameIsE beta and i can tell you it's not even close to what Poken is. First of all you have to own a smartphone. 200-300 Euros vs. 15 for a poken. Second the process of adding a contact is cumbersome. You have to connect (technically complicated, ask my mom), ask for a confirmation number (now, ain't that exactly the reason why you want to have a poken, not to have to write down numbers, etc) and then you can exchange details.

No, although E looks better, poken is much more convenient to use.

Tracking numbers for shipments.

Hi guys (and gal)!

Is it possible to get tracking numbers for the shipments we will receive so we can tell our customer when they can expect their Poken?
I mean, i have Poken on order, they were shipped Jan. 30, so i should be receiving them any day now. But any day, is that today? Tomorrow? Next week? In two weeks? I don't know.
I have Pokens to ship, demos to do, Poken to ship to magazines for reviews and i cannot make any commitment to those people because i don't know when i will receive them.

I'm willing to pay more for shipment if i could get a tracking number.

The biggest need we have is a business look for the Poken to take away the objections that business users have when running around with an alien on their laptop bags. ;-)

Today i spoke to Xing users and they were against the Poken for it's design. It was just not taken seriously as a useful tool for business use. When i explained that i had two profiles, one for business with LinkedIn, Xing, etc and one for personal use with Twitter, Facebook, Hyves, etc, the next question was: "Where can we buy them and what do they cost?'.... ;-)

1) Indifferent. Don't really know what to think if this. I would say earn points for purchasing covers, designing backgrounds and spend those points on ringtones.
2) I see a big problem here. The device is to help you networking, not to provoke a race who has the most contacts. That's already happening in many networks. People following 3000+ people on Twitter, having 1000+ contacts on LinkedIn, etc. What's the value of networking then?
3) I think that Poken should get started with Poken-For-Business really soon. My first idea when i learned about Poken was: Finally we are done with the paper business card!! However, the format of the Poken now doesn't really suit business users.
Having said that, i explained the multi profile functionality to Xing users today (Xing is a business network) and that persuaded them to purchase.

Problems adding Plaxo.

Plaxo gives you the possibility to enter your Plaxo account by logging in using your MSN of Google account. I'm not sure how that account is mapped to a Plaxo account, but when i want to add Plaxo to my poken profile, doyoupoken.com cannot authorize me.
Any ideas how to solve this? Except by creating a new Plaxo account, because i do have all my contacts in Plaxo now as well.

First they need to get out of beta, i think. There are social networks that deserve a higher priority than iDiDiD, i think. Click for example on any of the links and you'll see that the product definitely needs some more work. As i see it there is only an idea and a draft of a website where as there are other established networks that need to be included as well. For example Tuenti.com here in Spain.

A simple question: What is your official statement on the use of the Poken logo, images, video, etc on other websites, posters, etc for promotional purposes?

Free to use for the sake of marketing? Copyrighted?
