OK...Here is what you do: call customer service at 1800 331 0500 or 611 from your phone and tell them you need to have ALL the unbilled data credited, as it was the reps mistake that it was removed. It may not show in the billing system yet, but they can note in the account that it is promised to be credited and you can call back after you receive your bill or view it online, after it is processed.
As for rollover, rollover is forfeited any time you change your plan, but customer service can credit that back if it is an issue. If it is that important and you have been with ATT for 5 years, call back and ask to speak to a mgr if the rep cannot or will not give you what you need!!!!

As for family messaging unltd (the $30 plan) you can opt to have internet blocked, but you will not be able to send and receive multimedia messages, i.e., picture or video messages. There is no data charge for picture messages, but the internet has to be "open" in order to send or receive them. You may consider the unlimited media net plan for $15 on your sons line so he can access media net, but not have to worry about the overage. Also, you can set a purchase blocker by calling customer service in order to prevent your son from downloading ringtones, games etc without yoru knowledge. You will set a pin that only you know and that would have to be entered before anything can be purchased. I hope this helps!!!

We're new to this forum so I guess it didn't show up. We recently changed our plan for our cell phones and were wanting to add a line as well as upgrade our plan to include family texting. We previously had our son's phone blocked for data transfers to prevent accidentally (or intentionally running up a large bill with internet connections). When we called to make the changes they took away almost 5000 accumulated rollover minutes and unlocked his phone for data transfers without telling us. We discovered the phone had been unlocked accidentally 3 days into the period and he had already run up over $58 in charges. We called to get the block back on which they did. The argument we made was that the block should never have been taken off since it is apparent that he can have texting without data transfer capability because that is what it is set on now. Even though we believe they messed up by not keeping the block on, or at least telling us it was off, they would not take off the charges. All of this comes after we have had this plan for 5 years now. I am becoming more and more convinced I am a lot more valuable as a new customer than I am as a loyal one.
