For anyone else experiencing similar problems, Tim and I have been back and forth a few times by email, and it's early days but it does appear that the latest builds (anything newer than version 0.9.2.1 - build 1100) works OK for Tim.
You can always download the latest preview build from http://thecocoabots.com/hyperspaces/p...
and the release notes are always at http://thecocoabots.com/hyperspaces/p...

Hi Sheridan, I definitely need to write some help and put it up on the Hyperspaces website.
In the meantime, when Hyperspaces loads it puts a small icon in your menubar:

Left clicking on this icon will show the Hyperspaces menu (including a list of all of your spaces, and a menu item to open the preferences) and right clicking will show the Space switcher.
Let me know if that helps.

I have a couple of non-related apps in the pipeline - mostly web development support tools.
If you've got any ideas for desktop customisation tools, or other mac apps you'd like to see developed, drop me an e-mail - tony@thecocoabots.com. I'm always on the lookout for cool new ideas for apps :) – Tony Arnold, on October 30, 2009 22:43

The anti-aliasing problem is because I'm using Core Animation - it can't do sub-pixel rendering, so things tend to look pretty jagged. I'm really not sure if there's anything Apple can do about this (from Core Animation's side) so I may need to do some view layering and hope that that works.
I'll put it on my list of UI fixes to complete. – Tony Arnold, on October 30, 2009 22:40

There are three major things I'd like to get into Hyperspaces in the next few months:
- Proper multi-monitor support - although this is likely to make it use more memory :(
- A way to leave the switcher on-screen all the time (like in Linux desktops)
- Live previews of the windows within spaces in each space - I did a lot of experimenting with this one back when Leopard first came out, and it wasn't possible to do it nicely. I'm hopeful that Snow Leopard will make this fairly easy.
Oh, and different methods of control like mouse and other input devices (smackbook? light sensors?). Bear in mind, I work full time and Hyperspaces is taking a lot longer to complete than I originally thought - a couple of months might stretch out a little.
Is there anything you'd really like to see? (I saw your "Me too!" in the Dock-per-space thread)

A comment on the question "Hyperspaces Preferences Not Saved" in The CocoaBots:
Hi Siebird, great to hear it worked for you.
Thanks for the well wishes about the new job! I probably need to blog about this somewhere (or put a statement up), but Hyperspaces is very separate to my day job at Newism. Hyperspaces is still just me, coding away at home (and loving it!) – Tony Arnold, on October 22, 2009 20:31
