I have had the same skipping problem with every new version of several distros and I can tell you it is not a NAS, computer system or anything else other than an issue with Linux itself. I'm getting the same skipping issues whether I'm playing back from my computer or Last.FM. It's a Linux issue outright and no one has yet to come up with a workable solution.
I mean this is multimedia dude. And this is supposed to be a threat to Windows????????????????
