Rename the friend to something else, reload, and then rename them back to whatever you want. This should restore the avatar.

Also, this usually happens when a friend has a new avatar. SocialThing chokes on that.

For teh understandings: I specifically want to not post to facebook at all via any global action, but still have the chance to adress it directly via trigger like #face. Banishing it into micro-blogging and turning everything else away from m-b is not an option.
