Ligit can't find my RSS feed.Ligit can't find my RSS feed, although all header items that indicate feed are correct. I've got the necessary link items in my site's headers, as well as links in the page. (I'm not sure which ligit uses to find them).
But the wijit says it can't use "Surprise Me" or "Explore" because it can't find the feeds.
These are two main items I liked about lijit, what am I doing wrong?

I have been using http://notify.me/ with the RSS feed from http://search.twitter.com/ and it's done very well for me. Although, this should be a feature that is offered directly from Twitter.
Two notes about http://notify.me/, sometimes I don't get the entire message sent to me because they put their own link at the end of the message. Also, there is a delay but so far the longest delay has been 15 minutes.

OpenID implementation does not function with Yahoo AccountsThe OpenID implementation on I.D. does not operate with Yahoo. Yahoo's OpenID give you a unique identifier that look like: https://me.yahoo.com/[then a big string of garbled characters that no one should have to remember or is even able to remember]. But Yahoo says (and it works on other sites including here on GetSatisfaction.com) you can just use: http://yahoo.com
When you use http://yahoo.com, I.D. returns the error: "We weren't able to find your openid information at the given url."
When you use https://me.yahoo.com/[blah blah blah], Yahoo returns the error "Sorry! You will not be able to login to this website as it is using an older version of the the OpenID technology. Yahoo! only supports OpenID 2.0 because it is more secure."
If the statement is true and OpenID 2.0 is more secure (which there is nothing that implies it's not) I would think that it would be something you guys are handling immediately. Also, I just want to be able to use my OpenID on IntenseDebate!
Thanks.-

Trae shared an idea in IntenseDebate on January 25, 2009 20:22:
"Go Live" feature for the Wordpress plugin. The plugin should have the ability to "Go Live" for comment handling, but when not in use should still do the functions like syncing, tracking, etc.
This initially sounds counter intuitive, being that why would you activate ID if you didn't want it to handle your comments. But think of this feature as a pseudo "Maintence Mode". This will make ID more attractive, by allowing web developers to ensure that ID works properly with their site before actually "Going Live" with it.
I have also found that many people are having trouble with the initial import of comments on their Wordpress websites. This would be a great feature for these people because all their comments will remain intact and visible until after the import is complete. This way there is no few hours to few days period of 0 comments.
Trae replied on January 25, 2009 20:13 to the problem "Importing/Synching does not work" in IntenseDebate:
That's actually a good point. You should submit a feature request, that (especially since there seems to be issues with the importing feature) the regular commenting system on Wordpress should remain active until ID has completed the import, or at least away to say activate/don't activate so that you can import your comments, your comments will still sync with ID (since the plugin itself is activated), then when you "Go Live" everything can transition cleanly.
I'm going to go ahead and submit the idea. Feel free to bump up it up after I submit it.
Trae replied on January 25, 2009 19:13 to the problem "Importing/Synching does not work" in IntenseDebate:
Actually that isn't true. The thing that makes ID better than other options like Disqus is that ID will sync with your own server. So if you ever had to deactivate the plugin all your comments will be there and waiting.
After the importing, you'll notice the option to "sync" your comments not just have ID control them.
I do agree that the initial import problems is a huge issue that needs to be addressed and addressed quickly, but ID's approach is well thought through. Hope you work this out.
Trae replied on January 25, 2009 03:48 to the problem "Importing/Synching does not work" in IntenseDebate:
Just post your website, then the admins will reset your import in case there was an error. Pick a slow time, based on your analytics, and activate your plugin at that time.
Also, don't worry about your comments. Regardless of whether or not your past comments are available at that moment, ID will still accept new comments and they will be rolled up into your past comments once everything is imported. This doesn't disable your site.
Although there are some big hurdles that ID needs to correct with regard to importing, I think the benefit outweighs the hassle. Another thing to keep in mind, since Automattic purchased ID, sooner or later it will most likely be a part of the standard install for Wordpress. If they are still having importing problems, or worse flooded with new accounts due to it being included with WP, you'll be better off waiting the few hours to get it working now.
Head up, Chris.

Trae replied on December 17, 2008 04:52 to the idea "Wouldn't it be great of we could have RSS for user activities?" in Shelfari:
Tim, any progress on this issue? I hate to say it, because I love Shelfari's interface, but with out these feeds it's becoming difficult for me to stick with you guys. I have few friends that use Shelfari and (as with all "web life" services) it's easier advertise and bring them over to the service by illustrating use. Which means I need an RSS feed.
Hopefully when you said soon, it only meant the 4 months we've yet to see it. Please!
