Trevor asked a question in BumpTop on September 19, 2009 22:24:
Can't find BtShExt.dll to enable bump this folderI just did the latest VIP build and noticed the Bump This Folder check box is gone completely. So I continue with the normal `cd Program Files\Bumptop\` followed by `regsvr32 BtShExt.dll`. I know it was a work around and it is still buggy, but I was happy as long as I got the "Bump This Folder" working. I got an error saying it could not find 'BtShExt.dll'. Stuned I looked myself. It is gone ! ! !
I know it was experimental and I'm sure you are tired of hearing of the problems with the "Bump This Folder", but it is still one of my favorite features.
Is there another way to get Bump This Folder to work or did you remove it all together?-

Trevor replied on April 24, 2009 02:33 to the question "Simple instructions for "Bump this Folder"" in BumpTop:
Start menu > all programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
type:
cd ..
The two dots are very important.
Do this until the line only says "c:\>"
Now type:
cd Program Files\BumpTop\
Hit enter,
and type:
regsvr32 BtShExt.dll"
hit enter again.
Now you can apply "Bump this folder" in your settings.
Restart Bumptop and you are done.
Now in your explorer window you can go up to View > Toolbars > Bumptop Explorer Bar.
Click the big button on the top right.
Enjoy

Thanks for the help. The absolute path worked but the ../video.mp4 did not. and for other users this is the path I used: (Linux)
/home/[user name]/sound Manager/demo/video/video.mp4 – Trevor, on April 20, 2009 18:18

the demo mp4 as well as my two videos work online. they how ever do not work offline. This is the only line I changed in the demo provided:
" soundManager.createVideo({id:'photos3Demo',url:'20080716 - Cilantro Time Lapse.mp4'});"
As you can see I downloaded and moved the demo video into the same directory as the html file. – Trevor, on April 17, 2009 14:14

I have the same problem. I already fixed the Flash security issue and this works great with local sound files but will not work for videos. To make sure I simply did not have the wrong video codec I downloaded on of the demo videos and still does not work.
I placed the video in the same folder as the html file and these are the first few lines from the debug.
. . . . .
SMSound._onload(): "photos3Demo" failed to load? - 20080716 - Cilantro Time Lapse.mp4
(Flash): netStatusEvent: NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound
soundManager.onload() complete
(Flash): _load()
soundManager.load(): 20080716 - Cilantro Time Lapse.mp4
SMSound.play(): Attempting to load "photos3Demo"
. . . . .
I kinda need this since I was asked to display the site on an offline computer for an up coming event.-

When I zoom into the photo frames the image is poor and low quality. I know you would like to save resources but when I'm not doing anything tedious I would like the high resolution pictures back.
Create an option in the 'settings' to generate specified quality thumbnails.
Might as well provide a warning of the extra use of resources.

Yes it does push other near by icons away as the grid window grows. It sometimes causes the collision physics to shoot the icon upwards from being covered by the grid window. – Trevor, on February 25, 2009 08:58

1) A 'lock' command that will lock your icon in place. So you don't acidentally drop your icons off the wall.
2) When you open a large stack into a grid near a wall it sometimes pushes other icons around as it adjusts to the wall boundries.
3) Faster load for folders you have bumbtoped. I have plenty of hardive space, maybe and extra file that stores the data from the last time it was opened.
