Trevor's dashboard

My ipod touch 2G went crazy when i tried to put it into recovery mode. I restarted it and tried to plug it in but it won't register on itunes, it won't even charge my ipod. What do I do? I just saved up forever to buy this and now it's not even working, i'm really frustrated!!!
