trevor asked a question in Vivaty on October 05, 2008 17:08:
Graphics Card/Driver Error Message - unable to run Vivaty Player anymoreI have recently upgraded to firefox 3 and vivaty player has now stopped working in IE, firefox and as a stand alone application. The error message is:
Your card is NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200
Your driver is "nv4_disp.dll" version 6.14.10.7811
According to the dell site, this is the most up to date driver for the latitude D800 laptop i have and the nvidia site redirects me to the dell site owing to driver customization.
Vivaty player was working for me 2 weeks ago and I am suspicious that the firefox upgrade event might be a bit of a coincidence. Vivaty studio is working for me, but I cannot preview any scene in the player when accessing thatpreview option.-

Most useful models of our solar system need FOV smaller than 1 degree. For example, observing other planets from Earth.
Having a smaller FOV is also useful to demonstrate orthogonal views v/s perspective views. I discovered this FOV limitation only when changing over from a popular but stubbornly non-x3d compliant browser recently and finding many of my viewpoints were broken.
Is there any technical reason why the FOV in Vivaty has been limited? A float has got a lot of decimal places ...
