Could you provide a link to some scripts you have successfully used with Google Chrome? The more complex the better.

6.7 was bugged, I had a ";" after an if statement causing friend icons to show for EVERYONE so that version is no good :-\

Friend Icon's still don't work for Users with a lot of friends.

I've made it more reliable.

e.g. by visiting a users page, if you can message that user, they will be added to your friend list.

However, it isn't full proof yet.

The next step I think will be checking if that user is your friend by checking every users page for a message link and caching the result, but I really don't want to hammer Twitter's servers if I can help it.

Alternatively, I could ask for the users password so I may make use of Twitter API to check for the relationship, however I don't feel comfortable asking for users passwords. Plus the Twitter API limits you to a 100 calls so it isn't full proof either.

The URL expansion depends on http://LongURL.org if that service goes down, URL expansion ceases to function.

To mitigate this issue, I try to diversify services used for URL expansion.
e.g. TinyURL & Bit.ly use their API's to expand their URLs.

However I can't cover every URL expansion service there is.

The social links are provided by http://twellow.com .. Go there and add your social links and they will show up on your profile. The links are cached for 2 days, so be sure to clear your cache if you just added them.

Yea, I need to change the way I discover if a user is your friend. I got greedy and tried to get them all at once, forgetting about users who have 1000's of friends.

Options for Footer Search Link:
* turn off pagination in the settings ( see top right corner, uncheck then refresh )
* go directly to http://search.twitter.com
* use the sidebar search function.

I may move the footer bar so it isn't out of reach on pagination.

bah, it is because the URL has .jpg at the end, so my script assumes it is a direct link to the image, which is not the case with this website.

This is something I can't fix. They need to fix their URLs to not have a image extension unless they are in fact linking directly to an image.

I think this is because you have a lot of friends.
* Check for Updates ( upgrade if needed ) - see screenshot for checking updates
* Try clearing your cache - see screenshot


Let me know if this does not work for you.

* Then go to your home page, let the page load completely, and wait about 5 seconds. ( To give it time to download your friends list )
* Then refresh again. Now icons should show on Friend's tweets.

Hard for me to test with a lot of friends because I don't have access to an account with over 100 :-\ I may create an alternative method for users with thousands of friends.

I plan on adding Groups to profile pages, I felt Groups are not ready as they are limited by 140 chars search limit. I would like to create a work around before making the feature more prominent. :-\

The social links are being pulled from http://twellow.com
Then cached for 2 days ( if a profile is found ).

So if you want them to show up just go to Twellow, claim your profile and add your links as needed.

If you look on your followers page.

Click "Add Group" ...

Should get an Option to "Create a Group" click OK

Then put in your group name, it will be automatically added to that User.

Unfortunately groups are not terribly useful at the moment until I get around the 140 char search limit.

The Group will be added to your Sidebar. Just delete the sidebar item to remove the program.
