just a thought, but have you checked to see if there are updates that your phone had BEFORE you originally added Qik? Maybe there were updates and the reformating took those updates away and you need them back to get qik to work?

I am running 0.01.10 on my WM 6 8925 ATT tilt. I have not upgraded to WM6.1 because qik works so good on my phone. I am wondering if anyone else is running 6.1 and if I were to accept the upgrade to 6.1 but qik did not work, could I go back to WM6?

Suggestion for the developers

After reading through many of the posts here some people seem to be having trouble downloading and getting qik to work, even though the phones are supported.

You have a GREAT product here when it works. In this day and age a lot of phones are "black marketed" and with or without the end users knowledge... that "seems" to be the problem as to why it will work on some phones but not others of the same brand.

In order to make it more accessable for more people, can at least part of the code be made modifiable to the end user so that the application can at least access the hardware on the phone with some tinkering by the end user?

Just a thought.

In order to edit videos dont you have to download them like onto a cd or something and then do the editing? I dont believe there is anyway a video can be edited in qik? am I correct?

what does "cooked ROM's" mean? I had some other 3rd party applications like Kaiser Tweaks on my tilt and qik's update did not work reliably for me but the regular qik did. When I dumped all the 3rd party stuff (except qik) and did a hard reset the update worked and so did the original qik. Have you tried doing the hard reset? Do you have other 3rd party stuff? Is it that qik does not work with the upgrade or without the upgrade or both?

I had this problem on my Tilt as well. I ended up doing a hard reset on my phone and dumping all the other 3rd party applications I had. Now i have qik back on (and it is the only 3rd party application on my phone) and I have been able to do the upgrade and qik works everytime.
