I can confirm that this happens, and I'm afraid we have no idea what causes it; if you got bitten by the same bug as the one we're seeing, you should be getting the language shift only sometimes, and it should be gone after you hit reload or go on to another page. (If that's not what you're seeing, please tell us what happened later!)
It is somewhat hard for us to reproduce it reliably, but we're working on the problem, and will hopefully have identified and fixed the cause soon.

Language weird shiftWhile browsing through my friends tab I hit a page where everything is in german "Später" and "Mehr" instead of "previous" and "next" and the page header is in german too.. :\

Hi, Esad! :-) Maybe we should have this option when reblogging, until comments are implemented: http://getsatisfaction.com/soup/topics/reactions_to_files_photos_videos_should_have_an_option_like_do_not_include_original_file_in_post Thanks for reading! ;-) – Paulo Henrique Gallian, on May 31, 2008 13:32

The Tumblr's discuss feature is one way to do it but personally I find it quite noisy. IMHO soup should not include inline comments for that reason and implement an integration with Jabber (xmpp) for commenting. That would be pretty neat. Giving the opportunity to reply to a comment in our IM instantly and establish a contextual conversation with other souper's fully logged on our soup ;)

Stoweboyd has a good point, that shouldn't be too hard to add?
Soup is competing with Friendfeed, but I like it better because the product is WAY better looking and customizable. Steve, have you checked out streem.us? You can comment, but you can't pull in every feed ("pipe"). http://streem.us/hdunce

Im repeating myself here, just said the same thing on another thread:
I would to.. Just needs to be non intrusive.. I mean, you can have a link "comments (4)" or something and clicking on it would send you to the single post page with all the comments expanded.
A soup is a microblog so it shouldnt be "comment centered" but I think it should have that option, maybe you could add it in the "options" drawer?

OK, I think we should have fixed most of them now... there were a few causes, the most prominent one was that if the feed importer got but one error, it marked the feed as broken and didn't update it anymore; we've tweaked it now to be a bit less eager: That was the stumbleupon and fefe feeds. Both should get updates within the next hour.
The missing last.fm feed updates were caused by us using the wrong uniqueness criteria for feed items; these feeds should be getting updates again, too. (Note that the weekly top five post will appear as if it was posted on Sunday)
As for the wikifp feed, it is updating, it's just that the items come in with the date of the picture upload as their pubDate, and not with the date they were picked as front page pictures. This means that their corresponding soup posts will have that date set, and so they're buried after the entries that had the right date set. Brightbyte: Maybe you can convince magnus to use the old style dates, and the new-style GUIDs? (-:
