Yeah, I just discovered gravatar and I'm really liking the idea, so having it on Twitter (and every where) would be awesome. But even if the don't support it directly they could support image URL instead of just file uploads - then you could use the gravatar URL (or weeworld's, or ...)

Then again, how is OpenID going to play into this? I heard OpenID also support profile images!?

Over the past 10 hours, I've blocked over 200 spammers. Manually. It never ends. When does it stop? At what point do you just throw in the towel and say "I like Twitter, but this really sucks?" and then delete your account? Every 10 minutes, a few more spammers start following me and if I don't block them, it increases exponentially. Seriously, WTF?

To do this, you'll first need to follow http://twitter.com/spam. You can then send a direct message to @spam either by:

2. Sending a direct message from your phone

Currently we don't have any plans on supporting gravatar, but if the site becomes de-facto standard on avatars we might support it.

Good point - I didn't think of that. But, there is a solution. Since its using a mobile phone, it's sort of confirming your account in a different way, which would still keep spammers out, mostly. Then, if they decide to "complete" their account for use on the web (and other apps), then they'd have to confirm their email.

I have presentation (one :-D) in slideshare, using creative common's license, maybe can be append one option to have the possibility to get donation's using paypal, slideshare can use the paypal API for that.
