I've changed my email notifications to off, but continue to receive them regardless.I've changed my email notifications to off, but continue to receive them regardless. How can I fix this? I've just changed it to an account that is down right now so that I stop getting them, as it's quite annoying when I'm in the middle of something and a notification that I turned off is all-of-a-sudden being sent to me.
I've checked my profile settings several times over, enabled them, disabled them and still the same result. My username is the same on here as it is there.-

Has anyone taken this up? Or is this not something the company is working on? An independent developer? I've got a few days to work on it if anyone's interested in helping, unless something is already being done at which point I'll wait. -

Wow. Alright. So I didn't think anyone would even pay any attention to this, but I appreciate it. Ok. So here's why I don't use my real name.
I worked at a school in an upper-crusty community in a self-contained room. I dealt with kids that were labeled bd (behavior disorder). Before I was hired I had an active site for me and some friends to voice what we wanted about whatever. And it was cool. We all used alias' and it was no big deal. So one day I wrote this post, totally fuming and telling people I'd pretty much rip their head off. I was pissed. I needed to vent. This was 6 - 9 months before I got my job. Some parent (who had to really dig) linked me and my alias to the site. And for that post I was asked to resign. Didn't matter that I was getting students to work that hadn't. Didn't matter that the males were opening up to me and allowing me to find out what was really going on - which led to several DCFS calls. All that mattered was that one day, before I got my job, I got pissed off, went overboard with what I had to say and was fired for it. (I ran the site on my home server so I took it down immediately and they couldn't even find the DNS records for the site.) Now, I do EVERYTHING to protect my identity. No matter what it is. Even here I feel that I need to, because God forbid I say something out of line once and I'll be barred for life from a job.
Do I think transparency is nice? Yeah I do. Do I think that it should be that way? Again, yes. But unfortunately, common sense does not overrule everything in a sue-happy, censor-happy, Mothers of America world. So a colorful epithet here and an unclean joke there are impossible to put into the universe since they will be taken over the edge in a meeting or committee and ban you for forever. The individuals freedom of speech is dead. Unfortunate since I fought for it.

What about adding brightkite support?I use brightkite to update twitter so I'd really like to use twhirl to update brightkite so that I can be a bit more seamless. Thanks.
