Better GCal Colorize Weekends Not WorkingI love the better GCal Firefox extension but for some reason the "colorize weekends" option doesn't work. I've tried it for both weekends that start on Monday and Sunday and refreshed but neither seem to work. I'm running Mac OS X Leopard and the latest version of Firefox (3.0.7). Any ideas why this wouldn't be working or how I can fix this?
Thanks

Switching accounts doesn't seem to work the way you suggested. I've tried Resetting my accont and relaunched EB several times (as well as removing Keychain Access entries) but it still logs into my old account even with my new account details entered. I only got it working by reinstalling which can be a bit of a pain.

Hi Milen,
Thanks for the response. I eventually managed to fix the problem which required an uninstall and reinstall of the application after the keychain entries were deleted.
All very annoying though as they are also linked to 1password so it wipes out entries there too. For secure randomly generated passwords you need to make sure you write them down first and then enter them in manually again.
Is there any news on whether multiple twitter accounts will be supported yet? Or at least the ability to switch twitter accounts without having to delete keychain entries and uninstall/reinstall each time would suffice for the time being.
By the way, is it possible to add in Delicious bookmark feeds? If so how.
Thanks

I'd say it's pretty common for people to have more than one twitter account. I mean you have one for eventbox and probably a personal one too. I know a good few people who also separate it like that so will all have the same problem.
After those niggles I'm giving it a try-out. It does look pretty nice and could potentially be pretty useful to me so I'll give it a good test in the trial period.
By the way, is there a list of upcoming features and requests posted anywhere?
Cheers

Deleting the Keychain Access entries does allow me to sign in on the correct account but keeps all the entries that it dragged in (incorrectly) from the old account which makes it a bit of a mess when both account tweets are mixed in together.
Also, surely that isn't the official long term solution? It's more of a hack than a solution.
I like the look of EventBox, it's definitely got the Mac style elegance to the interface and potentially it would be great to use for multiple services like twitter and flickr (and hopefully more in the future with multiple account support) but at the moment it seems a bit too sketchy to use as my main aggregation tool.
Any ideas when this bug will be sorted out?

I've just downloaded EventBox and noticed the same thing. Even though you are asked (when setting up your twitter account in EventBox) you enter in your username and password for the desired account and then it goes ahead and ignores it anyway and loads the other account. This seems like a pretty big flaw.
Deleting the entries in Keychain access goes to help but doesn't then get rid of the entries in EventBox from the old account so effectively you have a mashup of the two which is very confusing and annoying.
Deleting entries from Keychain Access is also far from desirable due to the fact they are in there for a reason - to auto remember details for multiple accounts and each time I go to log back into that account it's going to go right back into my keychain.
Multiple twitter accounts would be desirable, but just being able to log into the *right* twitter account would be a big step in the right direction. What's the point of entering in the username and password if these are ignored?
typo replied on December 18, 2008 16:19 to the idea "Click Tracking for Short URLs" in Ping.fm:
I was just about to enquire about the same feature. I normally use http://tr.im which provides individual link click-through statistics. This is pretty interesting to know how popular your links are and I was wandering if their was either a way of seeing this data with the ping.fm links or a way to link up my ping.fm account to my tr.im account? An option to choose which URL shortening service you would like as services like Identica provide.-

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the update. I was hoping that it would be included as one of the features of regular accounts as it is with many other sharing apps. I'd rather have a limit of how much I can upload per month rather than no privacy options for sharing, much like services such as Flickr and Evernote do. Is this likely to happen?

I'd definitely like to switch over to using scrnshots as my main depository for screen grabs as opposed to using flickr but the privacy options is the deal breaker for me as some of them include work in development which I'd like to share with colleagues and co-workers but not make public. Until the privacy options are in I wont be able to make the switch. I look forward to the next round of updates.
Thanks
typo asked a question in Orange Peel Media on June 05, 2008 10:48:
Privacy OptionsIs it possible to mark uploaded screenshots as private? By this I mean in a similar way to services like Flickr and Delicious which allow you to hide public sharing.
typo404 reported a problem in Socialthing on March 08, 2008 11:01:
I'm Already Heading To The HillsNothing works and this has got to be the worst state I've ever seen a beta app in EVER! First of all I sign up and enter in my social account details and get the following:
http://tinyurl.com/35a2w3
Then I go to email support to tell them and find I have to sign up for another account with GetSatisfaction to do so. It's only because it was THAT poor that I bothered!
Then I go to log back into SocialThing to see if I can find a support address and get the following:
http://tinyurl.com/3y68w5
Then I go back to the site one last time and I see this:
http://tinyurl.com/2v34tz
Seriously I know a beta release indicates that development is ongoing but this is ridiculous. If it can't be used then don't bother wasting people's time. I suggest you go back to the drawing board and keep it in private development for a few months. There are a number of other social aggregator apps out there that DO work and work well (Jaiku for one) and after this experience I'll definitely be switching.
