Can there be an additional state to indicate "I have temporarily stopped reading this book but will pick it up soon" rather than just the "Give Up" option that indicates, "I have totally given it up and have no current plans to pick it up in the near future"? Thanks.

there is but it's not super obvious. If you edit the book you can set the date back to 0000-00-00 00:00:00 kind of crappy but I'll work on something that makes a bit more sense!
