Bill Wilkins marked one of iconmaster's replies in Gravity Applications as useful. iconmaster replied to the idea "Any chance the tagging window can be a HUD instead of paper?".
A comment on the praise "That Interface ..." in Gravity Applications:
In praise of Tags, it is much easier to get to grips with than Leap and I know Ian Beck of Tagamac is a fan. Please let me know if you change the interface. All the best from snowy Switzerland. Bill – Bill Wilkins, on February 08, 2009 15:52

I apologize to you if I am being rude because that is not my intention.
There is another thread in which bengur has posted an image of his modification of the interface that is simple, effective, and more professional which equates to easier to use. I spend about 12 hours a day working in front of a Mac and may work with 50 or 60 different files and read & reply to 100+ emails hence my love of simple easy to use interfaces.
I am sure some users will love the stylish interface but my opinion is that you are trying to tie the name of the product to its interface and that is not necessary. A simple icon on the interface is enough.
I find the interface gets in the way of effective use of the software because I cannot read the tags easily and find the graphic of a label is a distraction. I trialled Tags for about 10 days. It's a great product and much easier to use than some of your competitors but at the end of the day I decided against purchase due to the interface.
John Gruber of Daring Fireball commented the same when he mentioned Tags in his blog on Friday 6, February 2009. http://daringfireball.net/
I hope you understand my point of view. Thanks for listening.

@bengur. Well said! I wish I had your skills so that I could change the interface. I come from a product design background and "simple and elegant" is my preference. The "branding of the app" need not extend to the interface. I personally find the text color difficult to read and wonder if the interface designer has ever considered the stats on color blindness in adult males. I hope gravity are listening. – Bill Wilkins, on February 07, 2009 17:39

That Interface ...The software is O.K. but the interface sucks. Please change it to something that is more professional looking or give us a choice of having various templates. The interface does not reflect the professionalism of the software.-

CategoriesI am already using Check Off and just installed Today to have a quick look.
I much prefer the interface and look of Today. I wonder if it would be possible to give events a category so that I could select which events I look at from individual categories to all categories. I know users ask for too many features without giving due consideration to the software developers or other users so please take this idea with a grain of salt.
I like Check Off and will continue using it but I much prefer the look and feel of Today.
