It would be nice if one could tell if there's been any activity in a chatroom window (or browser tab) since s/he last looked at it.
Maybe prepend an asterisk to the page's <title> upon activity when photophlow "knows" the user isn't interacting with the window.</title>

The chat would benefit from nickname completion in the style of IRC clients.
With nickname completion you write the first letters of someone's nickname and then hit Tab to have the client complete the name for you.
You save time and the people you are talking to hear the "alert" sound which is played when someone says their exact nickname.
